Re: Nav input while in Motion
there is a wire going to the nav unit for that lets it know you are moving... I forget the proper name for the signal/wire.
People have cut the wire, and installed a simple on/off switch in line.... when you turn off the switch (open the circuit) the signal does not reach the nav unit, and it thinks you are moving..... therefore enabling input... however because it thinks you are not moving, it also will not be updating your location on the map.... however, once you close the circuit, it will resync.
There are detailed instructions on this on the boards, i just dont have time right now to search and provide a link.
