No worries, I've never been a fan of chrome unless its on wheels. And my truck puts in work at the dragstrip and the dyno. I'm not concerned with the trim since I can add just about anything that the SE/LE's have that are cosmetic. BTW, never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with their experience.

Sorry to burst your bubble but yes it does look like a work truck. its the little things that make a big difference in looks. right away the plastic sticks out like a sore thumb. door handles, mirrors, front bumper, grey rear bumper, no side moldings. your truck looks like an XE with SE wheels. dont kid yourself, im not putting you down but an xe is an xe A WORK TRUCK
I don't agree, not everyone likes chrome and the XE Titan comes with a lot of things standard like the 5.6 V8, automatic, and a decent interior. The XE is probably the best bang for the buck, if you don't want or need all the frills.

I love my '05 "work truck" I don't have PM, NAV, or door locks, with bench seat, AC, 6 DC, and overhead console, not much else, just the way I like it. Have had no problems whatsoever with it with over 90xxx miles. If I wanted a luxury pampering vehicle I would have brought an SUV or a car. I guess I must be old....

heyitschris, that sounds kinda high, I would do some more research before commiting to that price.
The XE suited my needs, tow package,XE preferred package spray in bedliner bed extender, floor mats, 4x4, once the dealer added the power windows and locks it was perfect.
Im not here to knock on XE owners,i think its a great option, although i think the price the thread starter paid is a lot considering how easily dealers seems to be dealing.
to funny heyitschris has not come back after finding out he got hosed on the price. I bought a 2008.5 with sticker of 38,000 for 24,000 with a 2004 SE trade in that had 76,000 hard miles on it and it showed. I payed 28,900 for my 04 with less equipment. Man they are almost giving these trucks away. He has to be deep into that Vette on a loan.

That 14k off had to include the trade.

I believe that's the best deal on a Titan I've ever heard. You must have driven it as the get-a-way vehicle after you called the police and told them that you just robbed the Nissan dealership??? Congrats for 16K for an XE.
I think that guy said he was from the DFW area and going from a vette to an XE titan screams 30k millionaire that just got forced to live within his means.
I own an XE and love it but then again I was not interested in SE or LE-not interested in RFsytem, captain chairs, leather interior, sunroof, etc. Prior to the Titan I owned a Supercharged 4x4, CC, LE, Frontier equipped to the max. For me, all the fancy luxuries were hardly utilized or needed in the Frontier.
The deciding factors for me were 4X4, crew cab, bench seat for 6 people,
power windows and locks, rear power window, A/C, and key less entry. All of the models have the same engine and transmission. Good Choice in selecting the XE. Welcome!!
Maybe his trade in caused the price to be that high and getting a SE OR LE would have made to the price about 45K. I almost fell into this situation with my 2008 LE because I got hosed when I bought my 2006 Maxima, which i traded in for the Titan.
Hey Itischris! Congrats on your new truck. Enjoy it! Everyone doesn't need plastic chrome, crappy factory leather/vinyl (mostly vinyl), and lots of electronic doo dads that'll start giving trouble after the warranty expires. I just hope you enjoy your plain truck as much as I'm enjoying mine. I spend a whole lot more time enjoying my truck than I do on here knocking other folks rides.

Well thanks for the helpful replies guys... i did change my truck to the SE after thinking about the bench seats vs captains chair. I really want the captains chair. In the end, i ended up paying 41k for all my mods.

Hey Mychael101, do you think a helicopter salesman/pilot is a 30k millionaire? How much do you make a yr son?
