OK i use both A and B settings for my trip calculator to track my milage for work and when i reset them they track the same mileage on both. What is that all about?
Ber careful when you press and hold the button. Make sure you are only clearing the one you want... If you fidget, it will change on you and you'll clear both.

The way I'm reading this is that you reset them both at the same time??
If you are, then yes they will read the same milage.

You have to get to TRIP A, and hit the reset button, then switch to TRIP B and reset it separately. They're two different buttons...one to switch from A to B and the other to reset it. No idea how the heck that can be done by accident.

HVT... ummmm... I don't know what you're driving, but it's only one button on my '06.... You push it once to switch between A & B... hold it in once you're in the proper mileage counter. There aren't two switches on mine...

Sorry, I have an 08. There are 2 now. One you push to sellect and reset, the other one you turn to scroll through different settings like MAINTAINANCE, TRIP, MPG, OUTSIDE TEMP, DTE etc. On other Titans, you have to hit the button to go between trip A and trip B and hold the button in to reset them. No idea how he's resetting trip B while on trip A.

yup its FU(KED, i rest both and they both save the same milage. When i reset trip B it starts saving milage even if im still on trip A.... I dont understand whats going on... I guess if its not messing with the odometer i can live with it.

As soon as you reset EITHER one, they start saving mileage.
Example
Both A and B are set at 0
You drive 150 miles.
Both A and B read 150
You reset A to 0
You drive 150 miles
A reads 150
B reads 300
You reset B to 0
You drive 150 miles
A reads 300
B reads 150
Reset both to 0
Drive 10 miles
Both A and B read 10 miles

54warrior has it exactly right. It seem like you're just not aware of how the two trip meters work or why. On my 04, I'd use the trip A to calculate mileage or measure distance to some place. Trip B I reset whenever I changed the oil so I always knew how long I had before the next change. So if I reset trip A after refilling the gas tank, the mileage keeps adding up on trip B.
