Passport 9500i by Escort (Radar)

As some of you already know my baby got broken into last week and my Radar got stolen along with everything else (yeah I'm still annoyed)

So I have started to replace the items that were removed by some low life scumbag.....

Just wanted to give a quick review on my new radar detector....

I went with the 9500i by Escort (comparing to the 8500 x50 also by Escort)

This is an amazing device.
Yeah you are sick of the false alarms right ?

Well, this can virtually eliminate them. Whenever you encounter what you know if a false alarm (be sure!) you can program the unit to know this signal in this location is a false alarm (total of 3 keystrokes, not hard). You will never again get that alarm in that spot, unless there is a cop their of course.

It is also "smart" and knows how fast you are going, auto adjusting the sensitivity on the unit, again reducing false alarms.

It also has auto light and volume (yeah the 8500 x50 had auto volume for loud to soft) BUT the 9500i actually monitors the noise level inside the automobile to make sure you get the alert.... in time and at the correct level...

Lastly one of the best features/ settings you can have your current speed displayed for 2 seconds when an alarm hits i.e. you are in the 60 mph zone traveling at 70 cop is running Ka you will see Ka - 70mph all on the detector no need to look at the speedo (saves precious seconds) when slowing down....

I've only had it for 3 days but the difference is truly amazing....

Pricing ?? It's not cheap if you search and I mean really search you can find it in the $375 range but you will need to search for coupons and sites and get lucky....
