I honestly hate to say, I traded her in. It was hard. I stood there for 30 minutes just looking at her, making sure I wanted to do this. I told my wife, THE TITAN is the only truck I will drive. Maybe a few years down the road, I will get another one. BUT, I did keep it in the Nissan family. I am now a proud owner of an 08 Nissan Altima Hybrid. Hopefully I made a good decision.
I have told anyone and everyone looking at a truck to go look at and drive the TITAN. I will continue to recommend the TITAN to all.
And of course I will continue to view one of the best websites... ever. Everyday I find something new, and I have been a member for 4 years now.
I did the samething with my 06 Titan and bought a 07 VW Jetta, that was a mistake, well not really. The Jetta gets about 32 mpg hwy and performs well, a great car. everytime I see another Titan on the road I cried I was trying to save money and my new job didnt pay as well either. So in late 07 my wife said we need a truck so we bought a 08 and I got my manhood back too. The members here called me the "pinkjettawhore" everytime I herd that I want to kick some a$$

From a Titan to an Altima! That's like being neutered! And then over paying for the hybrid Altima that gets no better highway mileage than the 2.5! Say it aint soooooo!

My little cheapo 96 saturn gets high 30's on the hwy. If I take it easy I can get over 40 mpg. If I could drive 60 mph I could get into the high 40, to low 50's. But I just can't drive that slow for any period of time.

Although 40 MPG is a Saturn is doubtful, that's what all the complaints have been about the hybrid Altima. It doesn't get nearly what Nissan claims on the highway. But city driving is pretty good.

The saturns get way better mileage than most people think. I have a 4 door SL2, and it will always get atleast 36 on the hwy, even doing 80. My father in law has a 2 door and he averages 43. I don't really care if you beleive me but it is the truth. Have you ever owned a saturn? I have a 12 gallon tank and i always get over 400 miles on a tank, and it takes just over 10 gallons to fill up. When I take it easy I can get over 450 miles on a tank of gas.
Well i am about to lose the titan to my girl during the week, I got a job about 40 miles away and I am going to drive her Matrix to work and she is going to take the T sorry about your loss bro
That all seems pretty bad, but what do u guys think of this. got a new no fear edition titan for 36k. traded it in a year later for a dodge dakota, and got 19k for it. Then traded that an went an got me a new 08 so im happy now. going from the monster titan 5.6 v8 to a 3.7 liter v6 was the worst experience of my life. But that lil dodge packed a punch. I could put a quad in the bed and 3 in a trailer with 3 other people in the cab and all the gear and it did it no problem. But if only I could go back in time and have kept my old truck.
I was lucky and got the best of both worlds. Got to keep my '07 Titan (for now) and my wife traded in her '06 Murano for a 32 mpg Altima ('08). I will have to trade the titan in later this year or early next to downsize, most likely to a king cab se frontier. The economy is just hitting back too hard right now.... for a lot of us.
Good luck on your hybrid Altima. And from reading your post, it sounds like you're feeling guilty. You got to do what you got to do. We all know Gas prices are going higher.
This is exactly why you can pick up a brand new titan for 10K off sticker. And also why I kept my car when I bought my truck. Drive the car all week, and then use the truck on weekends. Costs me 10 bucks a day to commute to work, it would be 2x that in the truck. Going out in the city, we use the wifes car, because it's hard to find a space for the cc lwb titan. Hope you really like the altima... it's a good car!
