acceleration problem? help

i put on the cai a few weeks ago and it was runnin awesome but the past week or so the truck seems to be sounding really good but doesnt feel like it has the acceleration like it used to. idk whats wrong maybe transmission. it also seems to be shifting different too. what are signs of a bad rear diff?

A bad rear end will usually make a loud clunk when you take off and you can feel it shuttering!

I would check all your connections on the CAI first!

Let's go over some things it could be.

1. Your ECU has to learn the new CAI.
2. If it was your transmission, you'd feel it slip (high rev, then low rev before it catches...)
3. If it sounds really good and that changed, I'd check the manifolds for cracks, the exhausts for leaks.

I think I tend to wanna check closely to #3... if you feel like a loss of acceleration or power, you may be losing some back pressure... I blew #1 cat out w/ less than 14k miles in mine...

how loud of a clunk? cuz it pops and shutters? not like crazy bad or anything but should i get it checked out
