My friend got a suspension lift so you wouldn't see everything underneath. i don't know if that matters to you or not

Body lift isn't easy on this truck. You'd be better served by taking the suspension up further to get the height you're after.

What makes the body lift so hard on these trucks?

I honestly don't know, but I've heard that it's a job that takes a couple of days. Full days.

Re: Anyone Have Pics of 3inch Body Lift

body lift is a ton of work because you physically lift the body off the chassis with spacers.

a suspension lift would be much easier and cost effective IMO.

Re: Anyone Have Pics of 3inch Body Lift

I've heard most people saying that it took right at 20 hours to do a body lift, but I believe it was Choo Choo that got his installed in 8-9 hours which is reasonable. So it seems to me that the others were either getting ripped off or the people installing them didn't know what they were doing. But either way I'd go with the suspension lift, first off it'll look better, and second thing is it will be way easier to install. Body lifts are a real PITA, especially on a nice truck where you'll have to get the body lines to line up perfectly.
