G-Tech SS & Truck Weight

Bought the G-Tech SS from Summit Racing the other day. Well yesterday I went to the local dump and had them weight my truck. 5580 is the number they gave me. So after putting that in and doing some runs the HP numbers it was giving me was around 220!

Anyone ever had their truck weighed before and does that number sound right? Any experience with the G-Tech module? I bought it from Summit which has a very nice return policy. I may just send it back.

Re: G-Tech SS & Truck Weight

5580 sounds about right, might be more or less depending on your trim level/options you have. The G-tech measure HP in a little different way than a dyno. Remember you are actually on the road with wind and frictions that come into play unlike on a dyno.
Some good infos here http://www.gtechprosupport.com/support/
