this is all very interesting and i'm interested to see where Nissan goes with this; however, i'm still not sold that this is the answer we've all been waiting for, that is: "when will the titan be re-designed and will it have a diesel?"
although, you best believe i'll be subscribing to this thread and any others with rumors, hear-say, nonsense, facts, truth, and/or lies about the future Titan! I'm ready to see what Nissan will do!
The good news out of this is Nissan is now aligning themselves with Cummins. I had heard from a local source (Take this at your own discretion) that the dropped international after major failures in the motor they had developed for nissan. After seeing the constant problems flowing out of the 6.4l powerstroke this is believable, but it may just be heresay.

The fact that there will be 2 diesels already in the Canton plant for the LCVs is a very good indicator that, at least, 1 is destined for the Titan's engine compartment.

Maybe the Titan will live on, and Carlos Ghosn was just trying to give us all heart attacks a few months ago...

You could make a really cool Van out of that Atlas.
Interestingly the Titan and Frontier are consider LCV's in Mexico and some other areas. Adding more LCV's should be a good thing, adding additional volume, availability of heavier duty parts and Diesel engines to the line up should only help the long term viability of the Titan.
Here's a link to the new Cummins diesels. One for the Titan, one for the Frontier/Pathfinder?
Stop dreaming...........
- The automaker also tells us that the vehicles will likely leave the Canton
plant as chassis cabs and outfitted to meet the specific needs of
its buyers by third-party companies.
