:idea:Tranny temp gauge:idea:

soo when i took apart my gauge cluster i noticed (since i dont have B/T) that behind the cluster frame where the tranny temp gauge would be (where on mine the hole isnt cut out) there is the tranny temp gauge, all is missing is the needle, soo is it hooked up to my tranny temp control?, if soo, all i need to do is drill the hole out and buy a needle and BAM! i have a tranny temp gauge. has anyone else seen this, has this been tested on non B/T, if not i think im gonna try it out and start a new "How To" thread on getting a tranny temp gauge.

There's probably wiring but no actual temp sensor in the tranny. Let us know what you find. If you pull the panel off by the TOW MODE button, there's a harness for the VDC but just adding the button doesn't give you VDC. I'll bet this is going to be the same senario.

Re: :idea:Tranny temp gauge:idea:

I would think all the transmissions are the same and anything extra would be external. To inventory a seperate entire unit might not be worth the extra expense. Is the tow vs. non tow 50/50 in sales? Anyone know the stats on that?

Re: :idea:Tranny temp gauge:idea:

Swap meet or junk Yard for a broken gauge with matching needle, or from a Junk Titan.

Re: :idea:Tranny temp gauge:idea:

You want tp test it before buying any new needle, take one of the other needle (oil pressure, batt. voltage, ect...) and try it first.
