I'm goin to the strip this weekend in Charleston, IL. It's a 1/4 mile. I've got an 07 SE CC 4x4 with a S&B CAI, 2* Advance, and dual flowmaster 40s with h-pipe.
You guys have any idea of a time I should shoot for? I've never ran a 1/4, I used to run an 1/8th with my camaro and it wasn't real fast... like a 9.3 sec. I didn't have the money to put a good TC on it so I couldn't rev over 1500 rpm before spinning tires at the line.
I'm gonna do the burnout mod on my truck when I find the documentation for it here on the forum. Has anyone broken anything at the strip on their nearly stock titan. I don't want to destroy my rear-end on launch. Any tips for dragging this truck?
i have an 07 and i did the burnout mod at the ecm and it did nothing. i read and read and read about what wire, how to DO IT, EVERYTHING AND IT WASNT RIGHT. DO IT AT THE PEDAL. TOP PLUG, RED/BLACK WIRE. YOU WONT HAVE YOUR TAIL LIGHTS WHEN YOU FLIP THE SWITCH BUT YOU ARE AT THE TRACK IT DONT MATTER

Well guys, I did the burnout mod and from what I could tell before racing it was working. When I flipped it on it was not limited. However when I got to the track it didn't seem to want to spin much. Also, i noticed on the way to the track that my cruise control wasn't working. It lights up in the dash but will not kick on. So I am wondering if something was messed up and the mod really wasn't working at the track.
Anyway, I ran well and people were pretty surprised I think. There weren't many trucks there but I raced an 54 ford with a 350, a V8 thunderbird, and a new grand prix gt and beat them pretty easily.

I hooked them up to a switch I have the wire from the ecu coming in to the supply and the wire to the sensor coming into the load of the switch. I also ran a ground wire and the switch would light up when I flipped it on. It seemed to work well on normal roads but maybe its just one wheel spinning and the other not. I thought that 4x4 already had a locker so they should both grab.

I think only the LE 4x4's had an optional e-locker, but that only works in 4x4 unless you've done the elocker mod. Not sure the elocker is/was really 'all that' anyway. Tru-Trak is the answer to the one tire fire problem...

nice job on the runs. Need to work that reaction time or were you running a .500 light?
