Nissan isn't going anywhere, but the Titan as we know it is finished. The Canton plant WILL be retooled for the Light Truck Division van,and cabstar truck. It isn't a joke, blurb, might happen,etc.... you can book it!

This takes nothing away from the Nissan Titan being a great truck, but the next generation Nissan truck will be nothing but a re-skinned Dodge made in Mexico, with some design influence from Nissan.I really wouldn't have a problem with Nissan sharing some parts with Dodge, but if I wanted a Dodge vehicle with Nissan badges on it it I would've just bought a Dodge......and that isn't happening.

It's really ashame Nissan didn't have deep enough pockets to stick it out for a few more years. They really have a nice platform that IMO would've made it had they put more effort into it.I guess thats the part that really bothers me the most, it's not like they started out with a crappy product,or a "half @ss truck like the Honda Ridgeline.

Oh well, life goes on and I will still enjoy my Titan.

Re: Titan's dead, sky falling, some perspective.

When I bought my 04, I convinced myself it was as close to an American truck you can get. Built in the US, a lot of parts made in the US, and the truck was the best at that time. Now to be a foreign truck, built in Mexico with Mexican labor and will be called Goat, I guess, since Ram is already taken. Might be hard to convince myself to buy one. Might be hard to drive by the unemployment office without hanging my head down.
