Suspension/Frame Shudder

I've noticed that when I hit a pothole or large expansion joint (which are quite numerous in NY) my Titan shakes quite a bit. I get a lot of shaking back through the steering wheel as well. I've not noticed anything like this in any of my other trucks that I've owned. I'm not sure if it is a characterisitic of the suspension or maybe the frame, especially with the long bed. Is this typical with the Titan?

pothole yes, expansion joint no. Mine drives smooth...much smoother than my 04 SWB. Large jarring jolts will be felt...on any truck. We do have one of the first fully boxed ladder frames in a half ton so....maybe it's just very stiff?...not sure.
