are you sure you didnt get a ticket for your grammar? dayz? come on man... this isnt myspace.

also on the ticket it should say the law/code broken. post that here so it can be referenced easily and we can see what it actually says as a law.

Re: ATT: Titans that have offroad lights in the lower air dam

I am fully aware that I am in direct violation of the PA Code, which states specifically:

http://www.pacode.com/secure/data/06...5/s175.66.html

(l) Auxiliary driving lamps and fog lamps. Auxiliary driving lamps and fog lamps may be installed on a passenger vehicle or light truck if the lamps comply with the following:

(1) Auxiliary driving lamps shall not be substituted for headlamps. Auxiliary driving lamps may only be used with high headlamp beams.
(2) Fog lamps may not be substituted for headlamps.
(3) Auxiliary driving lamps and fog lamps shall be mounted on the front, spaced at least 20 inches apart from center to center and at height not more than 42 inches above level surface upon which the vehicle stands nor lower than the lowest chassis part. Rear fog lamps, if originally installed or offered as optional equipment, are acceptable.
(4) Auxiliary driving lamps and fog lamps shall be aimed when the vehicle and lamp assembly are in the straight ahead position with the beam not above horizontal centerline of lamp at 25 feet.
(5) A vehicle specified under this subchapter may have only one pair of approved auxiliary driving lamps and fog lamps.

In Wisc., you may only have 4 "Bulbs" on at any given time! So "driving" lights with brights are ok, and fogs with dims are fine, as long as you only have a total of 4 on at any time. And be sure they have the DOT approved marking on them too.... (My Dad was qualified to inspect cars, trucks, etc)

This also applies to Texas I learn by getting a warning by a friendly police officer....

Re: ATT: Titans that have offroad lights in the lower air dam

Hey 54 how can Nissan sell a vehicle in PA that is in direct conflict with the law. The aux lights only work in low beam from the factory.

I sure an glad I am not aware of any such silly laws in Florida

I don't think the "fog" lamps that come as standard equipment are the issue. The issue is with the "auxiliary" driving lamps. I.E. Hella 500 driving lamps.

You are however only supposed to have the "fog" lamps on during inclement weather, any other time they can and will pull you over for it. Now in my area, every soccer mom with fog lights has them on 24/7. I don't know why but they do. I happen to know how much replacement bulbs are and use them accordingly.

Re: ATT: Titans that have offroad lights in the lower air dam

True fog lamps have a yellow lens so the ones that come the factory with clear lenses are driving lights. my factory driving lights come on when my head lights come on and have been that way from day one. But i could see getting a ticket for having off road use only lights on while on the road..

The trouble is you were running lamps that were not DOT approved on the streets. Or maybe you were running offroad sheep!? I dunno?
