What should I expect to pay

Hey Guys! Don't grill me please as this is my 1st post. But I was looking over the forums and noticed that people are getting their titans for 10k less then the sticker price.

I have my eyes on one thats out of town (about an hour drive) the sticker says they want around $41k for it.

Here's the details, I'm probably going to head over there in a week and try to get it, I'm already pre-approved through nissan on a loan.

Any help you guys could provide would be great. Also I plan on trading in my wife's 2002 Grand AM GT - should I negotate a price then bring up the fact I plan on trading in something too?

My dealer locator shows one truck in the SW region, silver. $37,520 invoice.

Less a $5,000 rebate, starting should be $32,520.00. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

I got a Brand New Pro4x w/ leather, r/f sound system, 4x4, etc.... For $34,500 and that INCLUDES Tax (6%, Title fee's, dealers fees, and license fees) So it was about 10k less! There is a rebate now for $4,500 on the titan and "invoice price" is about $4k less then that. So you should get close to $8-$10k off sticker!

Actual Cost = Dealer invoice - 3% - Rebates

Ideally, you want them to make as little over cost as possible.

I figure they deserve a few hundred bucks over cost...and that's how I bought my truck.

I'm not one who's willing to haggle a lot. I woke up one day, and said, I'm buying a truck today...better deals can be had with haggling, but I don't like to spend a lot of time dealing with dealers.

Just curious how you came up with that. If holdback is 2%, where does the extra 1% come from? I could only get 2% under invoice and I thought that was pretty good.

Holdback is 2.87% of invoice. Probably rounded up to 3%.

Ok,

So I bought myself a 2008 CrewCab Titan, Black. It's a pro-4x4, loaded....leather...sunroof...navigation etc. Dealer lifted it 2", push bar, tint, 20" wheels and tires...couple other perks.

$32,900 out the door. (not including tax etc) - This price reflects trading in my wifes old car....got $5k for it.
