Security Box Options

Am looking for a security box for the Titan and the Z. Want it to be interchageable between the two vehicles. Big enought to hold a small backpack with wallet, checkbook, radar detector, GPS etc....
It will not hold stuff for overnight, just when I'm at work or stores etc...
Want to prevent smash and grabs. Would like for it to be light weight but strong and capable of being cable locked to the rear seat bottoms in the Titan and the crossbar in the back of the Z.
Everything I have seen is out of the UK and Asia. Anything like that here you guys have run across?

Re: Security Box Options

Found this on one of my dodge forums...http://www.consolevault.us/index.html
Its pretty much for every other truck but Nissan, but they do have a universal kit there if you look on the left hand side. Hope its something you could use.

Re: Security Box Options

Thats pretty nice, and I thank you for looking and posting, but I am looking for something I could use in just about any car or truck. I don't want to mount it in any one particular vehicle. The one I like best is this one, but it is from Tiawan or someplace I don't want to send my credit card number.

Then there is this one, but it's from the UK. Again don't want my card number sent overseas.

Tell you what I'd really like is a small Contico box. Not the big one I have used in the bed of 2 different Frontiers, and not the the smaller SUV box they make that is under the hard tonneau of the Titan. Just something big enough for a small packpack. I could even rig my own steel cable lock for it. I've looked all over and all they make is big ones.

Re: Security Box Options

Some credit card companies now offer a service (usually through their online access) where they can generate a temporary or one-time use card number for any transaction. Might be handy for this application.

This way the vendor runs your random card number for this transaction and then the number won't work after. You can set the limit for the purchase amount as well.

Hope that helps.

Re: Security Box Options

That sure does help, thanks. I will check into that.
Now I just have to find out if they are willing to sell one unit or if they only deal in mass.
If they do deal in mass, maybe I will luck out and find the dealer that carries it.

Re: Security Box Options

Sorry to hear about your knee. I know how you feel though. Today is the 1st day in about a week I have not had an ice bag on my lower back, swollen disk.
