It's easier to change than your motor oil.

It requires 75W-140 NOT 75W-145 as you posted. I used Valvoline from AutoZone, about $16/qt.
I believe the front diff. requires something different???

Not sure what the T-Case requires either.

Re: rear diff gear oil...amsoil, mobil, or royal purple??

I just changed all mine with Amsoil Severe Gear....

Rear takes 75W140

Front takes 75W90

Transfer case takes Amsoil ATF.

It's a high quality fluid and if you contact the right rep, cheaper than the Mobil1 or even the Valvoline that 54 mentioned... I did all of it for about $80 shipped to me. Mobil1 would have cost me over $105 with tax at Autozone.....

Re: rear diff gear oil...amsoil, mobil, or royal purple??

For the rear differential, you can try 75W-140 (retails for $14.65/qt) http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/svo.aspx
For the front differential, you can try 75W-90 (retails for $12.15/qt) http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/svg.aspx
For the transfer case, try Universal Transmission Fluid (retails for $9.55/qt) http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/atf.aspx.
If interested shoot me a PM and I can save you about 25%.

+1 to the AMSoil. If you order from AMSoil consider getting the bottle pumps also. It makes putting the gear oil into the transfer case and differential a lot easier and a lot cleaner. You'll want two pumps. One for the differentials and the other for the transfer case.

Re: rear diff gear oil...amsoil, mobil, or royal purple??

+1 to AMSOIL products. I have the 75W-140 in the rear, 75W-90 in the front and the AMSOIL ATF in the T-case. Like mentioned before, make sure you buy two pumps to go along with them (it'll make life much easier).

I'm a customer that likes the products so much, I bought the company...or at least their Preferred Customer membership.

Changing all of those is easier than changing the engine oil (no filters involved). Make sure you read the "How To" threads about all of them. It makes it a breeze.

Here's something you might find helpful:

Good luck!

Just finished!!!!!!!!!...........VERY easy, except I put the non-magnetic plug in the bottom and filled it with one quart before I realized it!!!!!!!.....quite the pain to re-drain into the bottle...par for the course for me tho to do something that brain dead.........I went with the purple...my tire/oil guy said it was good, and I got it for 9.99 a quart at pepboys for the 75-140...used the high temp permatex............never would have tried this without this forum..THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!
