My real point though was that I didn't hardly use any gas and it still wasn't cheap. It'd just be nice if we could get our money worth out of the fuel pump, that's my only issue. It's kinda like I'm happy with 13mpg because that's what I expected and it's all good but if I could be getting 15mpg by changing something simple, that would be a little better although I'm happy with it the way it is.
My wife drives the titan more than me. Her commute is 20 miles round trip, mine is 80. It is sad when it cost $50 to fill her 00 Altima.

I just gave the titan it's first oil change with M1 and received 15.23mpg vs. 14.25. Not bad for tow pkg. F*** the oil companies.

I agree with you on the diesel aspect although some countries and a few in the Caribbean tied to the US dollar somewhat have changed their tune. Diesel that used to be less than half the price of gasoline has surpassed it in just a couple of weeks. So a lot of people that were enjoying the fuel economy of diesel now have to pay more for it at the pump, so it about cancels out.

The new low sulphur fuel is also the problem. Costs more to make, and doesn't get as good mileage.

No it won't. Not until more refineries are built...and that isn't going to happen so long as the EPA insists on environmental impact studies and people in general take a NIMBY attitude (Not In My Backyard). In addition, skyrocketing oil demands in China and India have put the existing supply at record prices...and demand in Asia is only going to continue to escalate as those countries further develop and their standard of living increases. Get used to it...we'll probably NEVER see gas below $3/gallon again.

Re: Gas TO Dam High!!!!!!!

Sounds like it's time for you to trade the TITAN in for one of those SmartCars huh ???

When I bought my TITAN I knew about the MPG's as well as the likelyhood of gas prices going up, but oh well cause I DRIVE A NICE TRUCK and I'm okay with it. Yes gas is getting expensive but we all seem to have expensive tastes around here anyways.....JMHO

Re: Gas TO Dam High!!!!!!!

My thoughts are to tax the he!! out of the oil company's profits. This will cause them to lower the price of fuel to keep their tax cost down.

Your kidding right?
You tax them and they charge more to make up the difference.
Why do you want to punish a company for making $? Communist much?

We need to stop putting oil in the STOR for a few months and reduce the # of grades/blends of fuel oil companies have to make.
