Thumbs down The Truth about WRP Technology

WRP Technology has been removed as a site sponsor from all AutoForums sites (including ClubT!tan, TitanTalk and ClubFrontier) due to the way he handled the defective products he produced for the Frontier. It's a pretty long story, but most of it can be summed up here:
Nissan Frontier Forums:The Truth about WRP Technology
Nissan Frontier Forums:IMS Gaskets WTF? FUBAR
Nissan Frontier Forums:The WRP IMS Gasket Thread

For those that don't want to read the 1000+ posts, here is a letter that a ClubFrontier member wrote to Nissan Sport Magazine to sum up the issue:

Quote:
"I am writing to inform you about the truth behind WRP Technologies, a company who's products you have previous supported in your magazine. William Perdigon (the owner and sole employee of WRP) is a fraud. He is not the business man who he claims to be. I am a member of the Nissan Frontier community, and we are the latest group of Nissan enthusiasts that he has defrauded and stole from. (of course we only learned about his history AFTER issues started rising).
There are MANY complaints about William, but I will only discuss the major issue in the Frontier community, and provide you with links to other forums where other Nissan enthusiasts reveal the truth about William and WRP.

William created a Intake Manifold Spacer for the VQ40 engine. He offered 3 group buys for the item, and the specs were goofed on the third group buy, causing the OEM gaskets he supplied to shear in the spacer, creating leaks and potentially releasing gasket material into the engine. William spent weeks putting off the issue as installer error until he was PROVEN wrong by another forum member who removed his IMS and measured it with a dial caliper. William then gave us the unacceptable solution of using RTV in lue of the OEM gasket, saying he would send anyone a tube who sent him their failed gasket. Not only was this a poor excuse for a "fix" but he did not make good on his promise of sending out the tubes of RTV. William then spent a few more weeks putting off the issue until it was no longer possible, and now he is offering a paper gasket and claiming it is a solution. William openly states the the gaskets failed due to a manufacturing mistake on HIS PRODUCT, yet he absolutely refuses to refund ANY money, and absolutely refuses to replace or re-machine ANYONES Intake Manifold Spacer.

Type "William Perdigon" into google, and these are the results you will get:
"William Perdigon - F (Bad business) - B15sentra.net - Nissan ..."
"William Perdigon WRP Technology FRAUD"
"Nissan Frontier Forums: The Truth about WRP Technology"
"WRP - bad business practices - Maxima Forums"

Unfortunately some of those thread have been deleted (William makes sure to get vendor/moderator status so that he can delete threads that reflect poorly on him), but these links from other Nissan forums remain active and reveal the truth about William and WRP Technologies:
Nissan Frontier Forums: The Truth about WRP Technology
WRP - scam, fraud or just bad business? - B15sentra.net - Nissan Sentra Forum
http://cpusrvc.homeip.net:81/majormods/view_topic.htm
WRP - bad business practices - Maxima Forums

In reading this, I hope that you will realize that your readers deserve MUCH better than William Perdigon and WRP Technologies. In the very least I am hoping this will prevent you from printing any further information in support of him, his products, or his company, and would like to believe you will print a statement about his business practices to prevent any of your readers from being defrauded like soo many of us in the Nissan community already have.

Thank you,
Steve Thomas"

Re: The Truth about WRP Technology

it's hard to judge how a vendor or process will go on the web, but from day one this guy didnt seem to be straight up on here to me. he pushed his products, but wouldnt give any numbers or substance to support his claims. Also the guys running JWT cams ran into issues as well i believe.
