Wot ???

Just to get this right....

I have a 2007 4x4 Titan and the other day I tried to power brake the monster (Little bit of Lightning trying to bleed into the Titan ) and it just bogged. I let off the brake (still holding the throttle) and it burned the tires down a second later. Is this because of the WOT thing I have been reading about?? I read the truck will not hit WOT until 15mph. If this right.....I guess it is better to nail the throttle AFTER 15mph.

Please shed some light on this.

Thanks

the ECU cuts throttle if the brake is pressed at the same time...

search for the "burnout mod" for the way to bypass this...it involves some rewiring but it is very simple to do...

Re: Wot ???

It confuses the ECU...It wonders why in the world would you have the throttle wide open AND be on the brakes...
If you don't like your right rear tire, by all means search for the mod and release all the white smoke still left in the soon to be poor tire...

Being that I am a 4x4.....Should I be spinning both tires??

When I let off the gas...I had two VERY nice and neat tire marks.

I gotta get some tech specs on this truck.

Same open rear ends in the 4X2 and 4X4. Both will leave two lines until one tire loses traction. The ABLS is overpowered by WOT.

I guess I will leave the power braking to my Lightning

Thanks for the replies and I think I am going to wait on the Brake mod.....No need to spin ONE tire

Re: Wot ???

Since our trucks have an open diff, we may be able at times to get both wheels spinning, but it's not for cretain...

I have VDC and forget to turn it off many times when starting to go off-road...I always yell WTF? and then remember...Duh...

You just need to get up under your dash and splice a wire to a SPST switch and let the fun begin!!!! Like mentioned it's the "burnout mod" or "Misery Tom's burnout mod". It simply bypasses the safety feature that is disabling you to do your smoky burnouts you want. But like you mentioned.....it's not near as fun or entertaining to do a one tire burnout.

Re: Wot ???

Burning rubber is childish and stupid. Besides, it's a truck for Pete sake and is only good for hauling and towing. You kids should grow up and get a life.

BTW, if I was to choose to do the burnout mod, I would prefer mine spliced right at the ECU so that the brake lights still worked, lol.

Yeah it REALLY makes all the difference when Mr. Occifer comes up after doing a 30 second burnout and your brake lights work.
