Taking the rear seat out...

Hey guys, I bought a 06 LE a few weeks ago and have been lurking for about a month and a half. I LOVE my titan and am finding all kinds of options with a truck rather then my 04 JEEP Rubicon. So heres one of my ideas. I have a grate dane and he is 150 lbs. He is getting old and if I put him in the back seat he is going to trash my leather seats. So....I was thinking of pulling the rear seats completely out and cutting a sheet of 3/4" plywood to fit in there flat and contour it as close as I can to the interior. then I could throw his bed in there and he would have a nice place to lay down. Has anyone done anything like this? I just dont want to rip my truck apart and find out it wont work.

Re: Taking the rear seat out...

why not just fold the seats up and throw a quilt over them when he's in there?

Re: Taking the rear seat out...

The area would be to small for him to move around. If he was a normal sized dog that would be fine but hes just to tall to fit in there with the seat folded down.

I thought he was talking about the back of the rear seat. Mine folds down.

Yeah the seat back folds down, but the seat folds up also.

Re: Taking the rear seat out...

I'd just use some tie straps and bolt him down in the bed

Re: Taking the rear seat out...

Never done it. Shouldn't be any problems though. I'm assuming this is a king cab?
