Thumbs down Titan #2 on list of top hurt sales due to $4 gas

http://www.yahoo.com/s/900366

This may be the straw that breaks the Titan line's back.

You beat me to the post. Was just going to give the link. Whats just as awesome is that Jeep/Chrysler is 3 and 4. Makes you wonder even more about the Titans future.

I think it is safe to say that we know about the Titan's future.
That just means we gotta keep these bad boys in good shape for a long long time.

by reading the article the Titan sales #'s are worse off then any other one on the list. They could be #1 if you look at that way and not the order there in

Re: Titan #2 on list of top hurt sales due to $4 gas

Yeah, I did see that. I think the biggest thing is, is that Nissan fails to advertise. The There are other trucks out there that get worse mileage yet out sell Nissan because there's no strong ad campaign for Nissan. Last time I saw a Titan commercial was........back in '06 anyway. I see Tundra commercials about 10 times a day, F-150 commercials about 15 times a day and Silverado commercials about 5-8 times a day. Granted the gas prices don't help, but Nissan is really to blame.

It does not matter to me much, I just bought mine 6 months ago, I love the truck and plan to keep it for a LONG time.

I guess you should get yours while you can!

The fact they don't even keep them on the dealer lots is not helping much either I would expect. I was at the dealer the other day and they had 2 titans!

We've got 15 new and 8 used. Those 8 used ones were all traded in within the last month or two.

I bought mine because the gas prices are so high and drove the truck prices down.

I bought mine because I like the way it looks and the way it drives.

Re: Titan #2 on list of top hurt sales due to $4 gas

Let's face it guys ..Ford/Chevy/Dodge people are paying the same for gas as we are and there not happy campers either, I've owned 150's and 250's and even a power strok diesel and they all had a thing about a gas pump?? But none of the other makes are getting the milage they claim on TV, and the Titan was hit hard in test, but the truth is what do you drive? I myself have
(2) Fords both 1965 one stepside and one style side, granted there both are a hobby and set-up for show and go and they get trailered more now days than there driven but they both have 4 bucks a gal. gas in them ,and no way will they get the milage the Titan gets. But thats the price we pay to play. When they outlaw gas powered trucks....then I'll park what I got, until then drive them like you got more money than sence, thats what most people think when your pulling a load in your Titan and pass them at let's say 70mph.

Re: Titan #2 on list of top hurt sales due to $4 gas

Why not try to refinance your current truck? If your credit is bad then getting upside down in a newer truck sounds like financial suicide.. I just bought my Titan used and got 5.9% so the rates are pretty good these days.

Re: Titan #2 on list of top hurt sales due to $4 gas

Does it really surprise anyone?? I mean Nissan has sucked at getting the Titan out there for people to actually see. The only thing Nissan advertises with any of it's vehicles in ''The Nissan Sales Event", this is 99% of their advertisement. I think Nissan killed the Titan in 2005-2006 when the last of ''truck'' commercials came out. It is a shame too, I really like my trucks. My Dad loves his truck and my friends that have them love them. Despite some of the growing pains, rear end issues and brake issue these are good trucks. I know people here at TT have some major issues but all you have to do troll around on the other Truck sites and you will see more of the same. There are far more trucks without issues than there are trucks with issues. Oh well I will have to buy what ever I can when I need a new truck. Hopefully Nissan and Dodge will have gone separate ways and the Titan will be Nissan again, is its still around.
