Front Bumper Dent

Hey all,
I purchased my Titan with a softball sized dent in the front bumper. Being the chrome bumper (or any bumper for that matter) this sticks out like a sore thumb. No matter how much I wash, wax, or detail this dent is the first thing everybody sees when they look at my truck. I really do not want to pay to have the dent professionally done, unless it is a must to fix it. So, really what are my options to repair this?

-Take the bumper off and pound the dent out, then see what it looks like?
-Try to find a used bumper, or a descent junkyard bumper?
-Just suck it up and take it to my local body shop?

Anything else??

It is an SE chrome bumper if it helps.

I would think that a bumper being a thicker metal than a body panel would be difficult to get back out and looking good without a lot of effort. Especially being chrome, you risk having it crack and flake off when beating it out. I would think the easiest route would be to check the local salvage yards. I've found some pretty good deals there in the past. I'm sure many on here will have plenty of ideas that may help. That's just my $.02 Best of luck.
