linex on front and rear bumper- made the appointment!

I'm pretty excited. I've got an appointment 5 hours away to get my bed, and front and rear bumpers sprayed with Linex.

I'm a fishing guide in New Brunswick, and I drive my truck down forest paths and logging roads very often. My front bumper has seen a lot of action off road, and my rear bumper was color-matched a little over a year ago. The problem with the color match is that the painter put the plastic trim on top of the bumper on with a mallet, and cracked the paint on both corners of the bumper. One year later, RUST. All across my bumper. The painter was a friend, and I only payed for the paint... as much as I wanted to ask him to fix this eyesore of a paintjob-- I really can't imagine going to far in the woods without needing it painted again.

So the titan is about to be blasted with linex. The truck is already a big hit with my clients. Now it's going to be that much more rugged. I'm awfully damned excited.

I'll post some pics after the weekend. I've found some pics here or on CT with a nice black titan with sprayed bumpers and rocker panels, but no pics of the rear bumper. I'll do my part and get some up.

Canteen green with black, tough-as-nails-bumpers! Can't wait!!!

Anyone else get their bumpers done? Any other fishing guides on here?

Why not colormatch them? That would look really cool! I think it's only like an extra $100 to colormatch! And yes, looking forward to the pics!

No way BB, black is the way to go! The canteed green with black bumpers is gonna look menacing. I think if you had the extra dough you should do the grill and below the bump gaurd down the sides of the truck!

That'll be sweet!

I have a buddy that Linex'd his entire truck (non-Titan), I'll try to get a pic from him of it.

Sounds awesome, it is a great idea to do that considering your occupation!

I agree it will look mean with the black bumpers and the green paint.

Looking forward to the pics!

Re: linex on front and rear bumper- made the appointment!

I recently removed the front and rear bumper on my 05 Canteen Green Titan and had the powder coated wrinkle black. Kinda has that Linex look but not as extreme. Looks really good and adds the to rest of my truck being chrome free.

Useless Post? I was giving him my experience and what I did to my truck. If you want picks why don't you get some manners and ask politely and maybe I might post some, But other than that think before you type!

Re: linex on front and rear bumper- made the appointment!

Geez... I should have waited to say something about the linex. My appointment was yesterday afternoon.

I just got back last night at midnight. It was a 5.5 hour drive through northern Maine, so I have a fine crust of bugs on the truck.

Here's some pics after a quick rinse.

Inside surfaces of rear bumper. Nice and thick. A lot of prep was done here. I was very surprised by the attention to detail and the excellent service.

The back bumper is completely covered. I'm very impressed with the work. I had a lot of rust on the inside surface of the underside of the rear bumper from rocks kicking up, etc. Now it looks better than new. The front bumper had lots of scrapes from driving in the woods. It looked like hell and my wife was giving me a lot of grief to get it fixed. I really didn't have the stomach to take it to an autobody shop and pay out the nose, only to head back in to the woods fishing, and get it scraped up the very first time. Problem solved. For a WHOLE LOT LESS. The rust along the edge of the rear bumper was really bringing me down. I didn't even enjoy washing my truck anymore.

I went to Linex of Portland Maine. Part of New England Offroad Outfitters. I would highly recommend them.

I'll take some better pics once I clean it up. The bugs were unreal. The windshield was covered in fireflies on the way home.

WOW! They did a great job! I can hardly even tell from your pictures that it's actually on there because it blends in so well with the green. At least you'll never have to worry about scratching your front bumper again.
