Not sure if this is really "Titan" discussion, but I figured I'd let you all know. I am no longer in the car business. After the major decline this summer in business, and no end in sight to the slow times, I am done.
I walked out today.
Anyway, is there any way to get my name changed on here? To whom do I send a PM with this request? Thanks all!

Yes, you can have your name changed by sending a PM to one of the admins like ekool.

sorry chris! sucks to hear man! although it paid the bills, good thing you got out! anything is better than selling cars! i myself, used to work at Mossy Nissan many moons ago and being a greasy car salesman sucks! if you want to stay in the industry though, get into the service manager sector or parts department sector. much more stable and stress level not as high. consider walking out a blessing for better things to come!!!

I already had a job lined up before I walked. That's called "prior planning."
I am working for my brother cleaning swimming pools, which isnt much of an income compared to what I made in the good times at the dealer, but it is stable and it is more than I was making recently.

Sorry to hear about your luck. Just remember things happen for a reason. Now you can tell us the secrets of dealers and how much they "really" pay invoice on a truck.

many eons ago used to sell nissan cars. hasn't really changed... they're all out to get your money and sell you shat you really don't need! bonus, incentives on top of commission... its all there! everything everyone assumes about car salesmen is 100% true. there is that handful out of a million that aren't greasy slimeballs but those are the ones that don't last long in that industry.
