Nope. I'm 2WD LE with big tow. No hooks. I thought the hooks had to do with the 4WD part, not the tow package.

I think the hooks are part of the Off-Road package.........

No off road package here, but it must be a 4X4 option.

The tow hooks can be had a few way. The tow hooks on the tow package is an 08 thing. Previously it came with the off road package or in the 4x2 came with the Trac package

Can a big tow option be added onto a truck, once it has already left the lot without one? I'm just curious how they would do all the wiring and the gauges, gear, tow capacity, etc..

I have a 08.5 SE KC 4x4 with no tow package. I have the tow hooks (is a 4x4 thing), and a tranny temp gauge. Must also be a 4x4 thing.

Still amazed that a tow package wouldn't include the tow mirrors on the XE and a real limited slip. That is what is keeping me from getting a boat. I'm pretty sure plenty remember the pic and story of the new tundra that sank on the ramp. Simulated limited slip just doesn't cut it. At least give us a G80 eaton option like the new Silverado/Sierra that locks up until a preset mph if it detects a loss of traction.

I think all Titan have the temp gauge starting in 08 (I might be wrong)

And to further confuse everyone and throw everyone off...2005 SE 2wd with BIG TOW package....and came with front tow hooks.

You haven't used your Titan in situations where you'd need an LSD then. The ABLS works just fine in such conditions. As long as you don't WOT it, the rear end works. WOT overpowers the brakes. I have the rear locker (that I never use) but I don't have a boat...which would work best on a slippery boat ramp I'm guessing.

i've got an 04 is it supposed to have a trailer brake, to be considered the tow package, and if it doesn't does that mean it didn't come with tow package

No Titan comes from the factory with a trailer brake controller. But they are wired to work with one. To have the Big Tow package you would see:
Hitch
7 pin plug
Tow mirrors
Transmission temperature gauge
Heavy Duty battery
Lower differential gears (but you can't see those unless you take the diff apart)

Update: I removed "Overload leaf spring" from the list. I'm not sure why I put that on there as it isn't specifically part of the BT package.
