new Titan to be...a Dodge Ram...???

I imagine this might be covered here, but...I read in a car magazine that aftershocks of Nissan changes and a new merger will include Titan manufacturing being discontinued in 2010, after which Nissan will use a rebadged Dodge Ram made in Mexico as its full size market entry. Not sure if it will still be called a Titan.

If true, this is really disappointing news. I think the Titan is a great truck, being on my second one after driving the wheels nearly off the first. It needs to be developed to continue to compete with Toyota and the domestics. Rebadging a domestic truck sounds like a really bad idea, kind of like Mitsubishi's recent "mid-size" offerings.
