Re: My A/C fan will only work on High

That's wierd cause yesterday my A/C fan would only be on high, no matter what setting I had it on it still would blow on high. I mean even when I turned it off I heard the vents close but the fan still pushing on high. I turned the truck off and back on, no problem. It's effin wierd, I am about to take it in to the dealer.

Re: My A/C fan will only work on High

After a week in 90+ degree temps here with my A/C only barely blowing (no matter the setting),mine is now "stuck" on med/high speed,so i'll be taking it in soon. It gets kind of annoying, but at least it's blowing, that week sucked!

You have a bad fan resistor. Dodges used to go thru these like water. Not sure if it's something you can do or not. But it'll be pretty cheap even for the dealer to do.

Re: My A/C fan will only work on High

They said mine is the control head and its on backorder. This sucks. I'll be filing a lemon law claim on this truck after this 3rd A/C repair. I've owned nothing but Nissans for nearly the past 10 years. Its gonna be tough to have any other brand.

Re: My A/C fan will only work on High

Not 10 minutes ago I finished putting in my new AC control unit. Freakin expensive as hell! 350.00 from Nissan, which is for all three switches ( they are one unit) . Same problem you have. Knob has no feel of indentions, just spins around. I was lucky that I was able to coax my old switch to high, damn thing turned off and I flicked it around until it worked. Its pretty easy to change yourself. Just get a butter knife and work the two corners at the bottom of the panel ( Just above the aux/cig lighter holes) and slowly lift up and away. Unhook the wires from switch, unhook your emergency light switch and airbag on/off light and pop that bad boy right back in. You will need a Torx T10 screwdriver to get the switch out.

Hope this helps!

Lou

Same problem here, just noticed on Wednesday. Fan is stuck on one setting, low. Sounds like a safety issue to me as I can't defrost my windshield.

I'll be calling Nissan on Monday to find out what they want to do and will post their answer.

BTW, I have 63K miles on my '04 and the truck is out of warranty.

Kind of odd that so many people had the same problem at the same time.

Now that is summertime, just about everyone is starting to use thier A/C. First time I noticed it is when I was stuck in a rainstorm and couldn't defrost the windshield. That ride home sucked.

I disagree, I've been using the fan knob all year long and AC season here in the Carolinas has been going on since May.

Sounds like a time limited part to me.

The replacement part just arrived and it took less than 10 minutes to remove the old one and install this new one.

Nissan was no help. In fact, their customer service (In India?) never bothered call me back.

I sure miss my '93 hard body. 240K miles when I sold it and only two minor problems in 11 years. Heck, the seats weren't even ripped.

This Titan is my 3rd and probably my last Nissan product. What a disappointment this thing has been.

Re: My A/C fan will only work on High

I received a new contol head and it solved nothing. This makes 4 repair attempts. I'm gathering all my documents needed to procede with a lemon law claim.
