OEM Key FOBs work on aftermarket Alarm/Keyless entry?

I have an aftermarket alarm/keyless entry made by Autopage. My wife lost the other key and FOB so I am down to one and feel very uncomfortable in the hopes nothing happens to the one I have left. Can I buy and use a Nissan OEM entry FOB and program it to work with my aftermarket alarm/keyless entry?

I have a 2008.5 XE w/o the preferred package so I didn't get any FOBs to begin with that is why I went with the aftermarket alarm/keyless entry system. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm assuming the one you lost wasn't an OEM FOB so it probably wouldn't work. But check with your dealer. Some XE trucks (with power windows I believe) have the ability to have FOBS programmed to work, I just cant say for sure if it would work with your aftermarket system. Check the dealer, or do a search here.

One of the guys at the Carlisle meet had a Remote Start that he was able to work with the Nissan Titan Factory Key Fob. It all depends on the AM alarm system you have. Have you tried there website? Look to your specific model alarm system for FAQ's on Autopage website. If now luck post your model no. and we'll try and find info on it.

Added:

If not, you should definitely be able to buy a direct replacement for the lost one from an Autopage dealer or from there website. No need to get Nissan one if you can buy a replacement for your autopage system.

I have a python 990 (amazing remote starter/alarm). My factory remote still works with my car if that is what you are asking. I do not think my car alarm turns on with the OEM remote, but the car will lock with the factory OEM remote. You should be able to get it too lock and unlock your car...I am pretty sure every XE has OEM remote capability. Mine came with it, and mine was the BARE bone package. I think all XE's have the automatic windows, or am I wrong in that thinking?
