New Recall on AC Fan seems Cheep

I Just got this recall done and it seems to be mostly a Short Term fix. I was looking at it and I don't see how it would still keep water out of the motor because the metal casing of the motor is still exposed. the plastic cover only covers the front and does not completely go back to the plastic shroud. I would feel allot better if the dealer would just replace the fan with the correct one. I have to go back to the dealer for a second time because the cheep plastic cover is cracked because it doesn't fit properly any one else had this recall done?

Mine is at the dealer right now getting that recall done + replacing the seals on the rear axle

Recall done yesterday in Memphis. (second trip)

When I scheduled the service I insisted he ensure that the parts were in stock. He said they were. I arrived early and waited for my truck. After waiting 1.5hr, they drove my truck around. I thought great, I 'm ready to go...not so fast..."we're missing parts". Had to wait for them to be shipped in the next week.

Second trip in, they replaced the fan and upgraded the harness etc. Seems fine, but I'll take a closer look.
