Showing Carlos Ghosn How We Really Feel

I know a meet at the Canton Mississippi plant has talked about in the past, but in lieu of the recent developments of the future Titan, I keep picturing this:

A national meet including all members from a variety of Titan forums making a trip to Canton Mississippi, all of our trucks parked blocking the main entrance, protest signs, tip off the local press and stage a photo session with all Titan truck owners flipping the bird to Ghosn. I am dead serious about doing something like this. I love my truck in its current form.

You know what sucks? After all that effort, nothing will come of it. Corporate folk have their mind made up LONG before any protest happens. Sad, really.

Re: Showing Carlos Ghosn How We Really Feel

I don't expect anything to change at this point in doing so, but bad press is bad press. Corporation like Nissan and such as ours is very sensitive to bad press. It is amazing to watch what kind of chaos occurs behind the scenes, and something that gets talked about in future projects. It does have an effect in the long run.

Re: Showing Carlos Ghosn How We Really Feel

What will really be a bite is if the rebadged Dodge called a Titan goes up significantly in sales. And it may do just that, given the options of drivetrains Dodge can provide. I'll miss this stellar VK56 though.

Re: Showing Carlos Ghosn How We Really Feel

The titan was a business failure. They don't care that current titan owners like the truck... the problem is that there are not enough titan owners.

Would you make your product at a loss just because people liked it?

Not if you value your job. The shareholders always win.

i think they're still going to make the 5.6 but the only way you can get it is in an armada, pathfinder, infiniti QX, and infiniti g37...i think

None of which are an open bed pickup, and none of which I have a use for. I'll miss this VK56.

Re: Showing Carlos Ghosn How We Really Feel

Why would i protest and waste my time and $ when i can simply not buy a nissan/titan again? Its their loss, not mine.
