Make sure your not set on max air or max a/c. Your heater won't work.
Hmmm, that would be funny. A friend of mine took back 2 window a/c units because they didn't cool the bedroom off well enough, Turned out he had left his thermostat on 80 deg. in the bedroom. Sometimes you have to start checking the obvious.
My 06 did this. Try removing radiator cap while engine is running. Leave it this way for 2-3 minutes. According to my service manager air pockets can form in the heater core, anyways it fixed mine.

Thanks. Is this while it is cold, warm, or hot. I've seen radiator caps removed from a hot engine, as long as it's running. However, my Brother In Law burned his face and arms removing one that was hot when he was in a hurry.
**On a side note, I left the engine run last night, and with the heat 'on' (no heat) I felt the top radiator hose, and it was hot, but not burning hot to my hand, then I touched the heater core line on the side that should have been hot, and it was warm at best, but I'd driven 40 minutes from my wife's office to my house. So....either the valve is bad, or there is a plug, or an air pocket in the heater core.
I'll try all these ideas. Please keep them coming.
Joe.

I tried it myself first thing in morning with the motor cold, no luck. Drove 30 min. to dealership, mechanic unscrewed the cap while it was hot with the motor running. Some air forced its way out but no coolant. Just do it slowly.

Have you replaced the thermostat? Sounds like it might be a malfunction in the knob (cluster).

From what you are describing it sounds like the valve isn't opening. My motto is if you want something done right do it yourself. I don't know how electricaly inclined you are but if you want to do some testing of your own or maybe you know someone who is willing to help, here ya go. Let me know if I missed anything from the manual. Good luck.
I grabbed the heater core line 'after' the valve, and it was fairly cool compared to the to radiator hose, so we took it back the next day. The mechanic acted like I asked him to kill his mother when I took it back for them to look at it again. They had it for 2 days, and 'could not replicate the problem.' Well, at 50* F the other morning, I replicated the problem, and drove it 50 miles to them so they could look at it. They 'may' have the parts in on wednesday, it not, the mechanic that does that work won't be back till next week.

Glad to hear they got it figured out. Hopefully you will stay warm now for the winter.
