30k on a radiator cap? that's some BS right there.. I just flipped 30k not too long ago.
Sorry to hear about your luck.. still on my original cap and battery....
I thought it was odd too. These things happen I guess. When I lived in Oregon I was lucky to get 3 years out of a battery due to the cold winter temperatures. Here in AZ I guess your lucky to get three years with the heat. Good news is my new battery has a 7 year prorated warranty and will be replaced for FREE if it fails within the first 2 years.
The cap was replaced under warranty so at least I wasn't out any money for that one.

Thanks. I am adding the install of the PowerAid throttle Spacer today. Next week I should be doing one for the New Frozen Rotors I am installing. Following that will be the big one with the Trailmaster lift and lastly I will be installing a set of Bushwacker flares.

It's going to take me some time to give it a through cleaning. Last week my battery fell subject to the Arizona heat and needed to be replaced. (less than two years and less than 30K) I opened up the hood to jump it and I quickly realized that the radiator cap had failed and had let coolant spray all over the inside of my engine. Apparently these caps get replaced every 30K but mine, also with the Arizona heat, didn't last that long. So dirt and dust happily stuck on like spider monkeys. The car wash quoted $80.00 of clean it up top and bottom. I can't see paying that much so I'll be scrubbing some more shortly.
Nothing a pressure washer wont take off,

Product: PowerAid Throttle Spacer
Install time: Start to finish: 20 minutes
Difficulty: Very Easy (1 on a scale of 1-10)
People needed for the Job: 1
Tools Required: 5mm Allen wrench, 10mm socket & wrench, flat head screwdriver.
First: Check for parts (check)
I flew through this installation. It will probably take me longer to write this up than it did to install it.
Step one: Disassembly
Remove the Engine Beauty cover: I loosened and removed the two 10mm bolts on the engine cover and popped the cover off its rear rubber grommets so that it could be lifted out of the engine compartment.
Remove the main intake tube throttle side: I used a screw driver to loosen the hose clamp on the main intake tube, you could also use the 5/16" socket for this. I then pushed it up and out of the way.
Remove throttle body: With the intake tube a little out of the way, I worked around it to remove the 4 bolts holding the throttle body to the engine. 5mm Allen wrench.
I wasn't able to get clear pictures of this with out taking more of the intake system out but the pictures on the Powerraid website show it clrear. Here is a link to their pictures for this part of the installation if you need it. It looks like they removed the main intake tube just for the photos. I didn't have to. Installation instructions]PowerAid Titan spacer
Step two: I next installed the rubber O-ring into the Spacer.
Step Three: Before installation of my shiny new part it was cleaning time. I cleaned out all the dirt and grime I could not reach with the engine cover on. If you haven't taken your engine cover off to clean I highly recommend it. Although it seems to make your engine look nice when its on there it has the effect of sweeping the dirt under the rug if you know what I mean. I then reassembled. I slid the spacer back behind the throttle body and bolted the throttle body and spacer back onto the engine using the new hardware provided. I also reattached the intake and tightened the screw clamp. (oh, clean again )
I then bolted the cover back on and...... done.
Install Review
Piece of cake. All parts were included, they fit great and are high quality. Directions were clear and mentioned everything I needed to know.
Product Review:
Great addition. Adding this spacer to Airaid intake system really helped on the lower end and torque. It noticeably idles stronger now and pulls harder through the low gears. The Spacer is designed to, for lack of a better word, swirl incoming air to the engine so that it enters quicker and more directed. This helps to optimize the amount of air entering the engine and helps the air mix with the fuel more thoroughly as well.
I am very pleased with the quality and performance of both the Airaid Intake and the PowerAid Throttle Spacer. Airaid has really put some time into developing products that work and install exactly the way quality after market parts should. I highly recommend these two products they are great bolt-on additions for anyone that looks to easily improve their trucks performance and sound.

It has crossed my mind. It would be good to see the numbers. It would have been good to Dyno it before and then after to see the difference... I may be able to use another stock dyno test sheet to compare.... I'll look into it more, thanks for the suggestion.

Would you dyno it before or after 35" mud grapplers?

I hate and love to brake it to you guys but I finished up the lift yesterday and I installed the wheels and tires as well so it might already be too late for that. Today the truck is at the alignment shop and, hopefully, by Wednesday, I will be able to install the flares. It looks meaner than I thought it would as it stands now and rides unexpectedly smooth but I will be writing a full review shortly so please save the questions until I post it. I hope to have the Frozen Rotor write up done in the next few days. The lift, fender and wheel and tire write-ups will follow.

First, this is a awesome write up, thanks Discount tire for doing this, looking forward to alot of good info!
next i would like to hear what others say about the Air raid filter system and the poweraid? Whats others experiences with this stuff, is there better out there?
I have always thought about adding these parts, but it concerns be that my luck something would happen to the motor and the dealer would blame those parts, or say that water entered through the filter because its open and caused a problem, so i went with a K&N instead. Could someone shed some light on this? are there any down falls to adding these?
