tint question

does anyone know what the %, or the "color" tint is ont he side/back windows...

i want to tint my front pretty dark but dont want it to be TOO far off the color and stand out too much...

any info/ suggestions would be cool

i had a car with 20% and looked awsome but cops pulled me over for it... but im not as worried with the truck

It is very hard to match the factory tint!!

I have 5% on mine and it is pretty dark and not a perfect match. Trying to find a pic for you.

15% and it matches from the outside.

the one thing i noted is that on the fronts, when looking out it's blue in color but the factory tinted glass has more of a red tint. i'm not sure why that is but i think my truck looks pretty awesome and matches great..... i'm pretty anal about those things!

i do want to get my front visor done too...

im thinkin around 15% is prob good... im on the md pa line most of the time, PA doesnt give a crap but MD cops do but i think ill be alright

Yours has a mismatch because it's a metalized tint.

It's good stuff, it just doesn't match OEM tint glass at all.

You are correct! Metalized does not turn purple like dyed tint, that is why I told them to put that on.

the place around here warranties there tint to never turn purple or peel or fade

I just put 2.5 tint all around.. And 35 on windsheild... Looks sick, will post some pics, too dark right now lol.. I think the darker you go, the less of a difference you gonna see from outside..

I have 20% on the front and it matches well. I think 15% would have been the perfect match though.

Most of the factory colored glass is 15 to 20 percent depending on make. Titan is about 15. The best match ive seen is the new carbon films that every ones starting to use. It does not cause a glare like the metal films. And they say it wont discolor like the dyed films. I guess we will se with time. The brand film that ive seen have almost a perfect match is suntek carbon 15

I have 20 on mine and it matches really good. I also have a 5% strip on the windshield that comes down about a foot or so. It makes it nice and dark but I can still see out of it at night unlike 5%. I had 5% on the side windows one time and it is dangerous because at nighttime you can't see out of it.

20% is the almost perfect match. thats what I have. not too dark, and looks pretty good. havnt been messed with yet. but then again, Im on constent whatch for cops haha. you'll be fine.

my old truck I put 5% over the back factory tinted windows and 5% on the front two. looked bad@ss, but wayyy too dark. night time was deadly.
