Help.. interior lights went out!(dash lights)

I was driving w/ my lights on and my dash and radio lights stopped working.
When i pulled the fuse they came on .when i put one back in now they went off again. i have my courtesy lights.Does anyone know why?is it a short ? what else is on that curcuit? Heeeellllpppp.

Is the fuse bad and did you check the dimmer?

So when you pulled the fuse OUT they started working again?

That's really odd. What exactly won't light up? Do your headlights and all the other important exterior lights work properly too?

MY dash lights are the ones that do not work and the radio darkens .
Th lights come on briefly when i start the truck in the morning. everything else appears to work.

It sounds like you have a bad dimmer switch.

If you have your dimmer reduced to its lowest level, but just above the point where it turns the lights off, it causes this. I had the same issue with my truck. I'd start the truck and some lights wouldn't come on, but after driving a little, they'd pop on. I figured there was an electrical problem, but after I adjusted the dimmer one day, all lights came on. After some further experimenting, I determined this to be the cause.

Thanks ,i tried moving the dimmer . nothing,they came on for a sec when i first turned the lights on but now nothing.
