well my truck does pretty good in snow when in 2wd. Stock tires too. And by pretty good in snow, I mean with 2 inches on the ground
My Titan does pretty good in snow too. It's the driver that is the problem.

This is my fourth Chicago Titan winter, and my 4x2 pegleg does just fine in the snow.

We have snow in Nebraska. I've had it in 4X4 a few times. I put it back in 2WD and it does just fine. Just don't power through the ABLS, which may start another discussion.

Searched for a Truck for a year, almost bought several before....
Get better tires. I have a 4X4, but 99.99% of my driving on snow and ice is in 2WD. Get better tires and be easy on the throttle.

Weight in the rear over the axle(sand bags work well), snow tires(take your pic, Check out tirerack.com) maybe even some chains for the deep stuff. It sounds like you come from an area that only sees occasional snow, so next time it snows find an empty parking lot(big one) and practice driving around in it. Practice, practice, practice. and welcome to TT.
get a locker these POS open rearends with ABLS suck just something we paid for that does not work like it is supposed to. Nissan just want to save money and not put a LSD in and say how good their ABLS is ya right... but I still love my truck and as soon as a LSD is avaliable I am getting it..

I live in snow country and drive a 2WD Titan and have experienced no problems in getting around - no matter how much snow. But it definitely helps that I have a Leer truck cap and the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armour tires. The truck cap adds the weight over the back wheels. So if you don't want to get a truck cap then like someone has already stated get a couple hundred pound of sand bags and you'll be fine. All you need is some experience in driving in snow - come up here and you'll learn quickly how its done. Good Luck

I will have to pile on and say that practice is definitely the key. I live in Colorado and have a 4x4 but I spend 99% of the time in 2WD. Mainly the only time I put it in 4WD is when my mom needs to drive my truck in the snow.
I know everyone here in Colorado, even the ones with 4WD, put sandbags over their rear axle. Its a fairly cheap fix.
My truck does aite just have to put chains on. I go to the snow once a year no big deal. in cali if you don't have snow tires on all 4 they make you throw chains on anyway some places even the 4wd's.
I just want this conversion done for the mud
I just bought the blinker fluid cause mine was kinda low. I didn't have too much more money to spend but I treated myself to some cross drilled brake lines. Next time I have some money I am getting the 710 Cap.
