chrome bumper &grille must go

i know the first thing i will do to this truck ,thats color key the front ,if it doesnt already come offered that way. then modify the grille . i made my own custom grille on my tundra . i cant stand those billets and those corny snap on grilles . i cant do much about those triangular /rectangular taillghts so i guess i will just have to live with them, ''wait a minute if i can fit dodge tails and i know a guy who does body work, nawwww''

I brought this thread to the front of the "threadline" because it was at the very end. Notice its original post date. Anyway, I was wondering what everyone thinks of the excessive chrome on the front? I find it excessive, and I love it. TiTaNiC, if you are out there, have your feelings changed or haven't they? Just curious because you posted this almost a year ago.

I don't care for all the chrome so I'm going to install the bottom half of a bra to hide all the chrome. I have a bug deflector already so don't intend to use the top half. Lucky I got a black truck, everything matches.

Smile Re:chrome grill

I personally wish mine had the chrome grill but due to the high miles i put on a truck i got the cheapest truck i could buy. Ive got to ask though, if you don't like the chrome then why didn't you get an xe with preferred package. nearly the same truck as an se without all the chrome. BTW FYI the bugs are hard to get off the plastic xe front end. its got to be easier off the chrome

I agree that it's a bit excessive and I love it, although someone at work told me it looked like I ran over a Harley.

Part of why I picked the XE trim is the lack of chrome. I like the minimalist approach to owning a truck....cheap, simple, and won't kill me when it gets it's first dings and kamakaze bug attacks. The first bug guts on my airplane's paint job just about gave me a coronary. Man, those bastards go DEEP when they hit at 200mph! Eventually, I just got over it, knocked off the worst offenders with a wet pot scrubber mesh sponge and kept a good coating of wax on the leading edges. Same plan for the Titan when it finally shows up.

I do still like the pure showy allure of the chrome front end on the SE/LE trims. Damn, this truck just looks good no matter how you dress it!

I'm not really a fan of the chrome unless you have radiant silver, than it looks really good.

Chrome is cleanable. I can't believe the guy that started this thread is from Florida, with all the darn love bugs. I wish more of my front was chrome. And maybe the hood too.
