I recently had an unfortunate accident and some liquid appears to have been spilled into (of all places) the 4wd switch. Of course the switch was in the 4LO position when this occurred so I now have a truck stuck on the 4lo position.
I won't even get started on how something managed to get into the switch, I just need to see about getting my truck all fixed up.
Does anyone know where I can purchase another switch and/or get the truck out of 4lo and preferably into 2wd without that switch?
Thanks!

I'm not sure but can you pull the switch off on a Titan? If you can then do that and take a pair of pliers and turn it back to 2hi.

switches are linked to a fuse. it's just power giong to a joint which "switches" the power to a different post, which engages another function.
That said..check the fuse. coudle be the easiest way to fix it.
So you can't pull the switch cover off? On my bro's chevy you can.....I don't thank that is normal.

Yeah you can..but its not like his switch is stuck, at least I don't think. Just a short from liquid on the electric insides.
Oh. BTW this is his Street Queen, Pavement Princess what ever you want to call it. HAHA

Pull the front bezel off of the radio and then you can remove the 4wd switch and clean it up. There is a push tab on the back side of the switch that you will see when you pull the radio bezel off. Push that tab in and you can pull the switch out of the sash and unplug the wiring and fix it up or replace.
Can't help with the titan, but had this happen to another car. Took out the switch, used some 90% rubbing alcohol on the internals and now it works perfect. So before ordering another switch, you might be able to just clean it out.
I'm thinking removing it might not be that hard once the center bezel is out.
Good luck

Thanks everyone for the advice. I pulled the radio bezel off, then was able to remove the switch. Turns out the back plate had broken off in addition to the liquid getting in there. I took the pieces of the switch all apart and gave them a good cleaning, then pieced them back together.
If anyone ever runs into this thread, the switch pops out the front of the trim and there is a tiny ball bearing beneath the while plate in the switch which sits on top of a tiny spring. Make sure you put that ball bearing back on top of the tiny spring or the switch won't work correctly.
Anyway instead of dropping $60, a little electrical tape did the trick and now it's good as new.
Thanks again everyone!
