scupper. Hemi the worst handling. HMMM I wonder why all the reviews Ive read claim the hemi Ram1# in the slalom. As for the Hemi and Titan drag racing. It's so close the magazines cant call it. Every review Ive read either took a 3/4 ton against a Titan or it was an all wheel drive 1/2 ton. I want to see a truck to truck comparison. something like 1/2 4door on [17' WHEELS] VS a 1/2 4 door on 17's.

I thought the Srt 10 and the lightning where a half ton's . And don't count Gm out because the 6.0 will be coming in a half ton soon

The Srt 10, and Lightning are half ton's. As far as the hemi not feeling like 345hp. He's right there when it comes to take off feeling. Throttle by wire kills the take off power of the hemi. Its surely not the engine that kills the feeling. Thats shown by real life 1/4 mile times, and not some BS magazine that gives props to whatever company thats sends more cash to them. Dodge chose to advertise commercials, Nissan chose magazines. facts show hemi quads run 15.3 RC 4x4's run 15.1, and RC 2x4's run high 14's bone stock. The titan definantly feels faster, and to some thats all that matters. To others the fact the hemi is faster matters. Its all personal opinion. If you like your truck, thats all that matters. All its got to do is serve its purpose weather it be commute, haul, tow, race, sit in garage, rust away it dont matter. If it does what you bought it to do then its a good truck.

hey budman, we all know that all those magazines are BS, i mean come on who wants to believe car and driver?? those guys havent established any kind of reputation at all! its funny over at dodge truck world all the dodge guys bash the new f-150 saying its slow. but how do they know this? thats right, thru magazines. they all say it themselves, but when it comes to the hemi getting beat by the TITAN, then all of a sudden the magazines are full of $#*^. funny. i personally have driven both, my truck is a 4X2 CC on 18's and i drove a laramie QC 4X2 on 20's, one right after the other, and the TITAN had more pull and power than the hemi. dont get me wrong, the hemi dominated the 5.3 from chevy and the 4.7 from toyota, but didn't compete with the TITAN. i know those magazines are all BS, but there are plenty of threads over on DTW where guys with QC's talk about running 16's, so they perhaps aren't all lies are they budman? i mean how do you guys know the f-150 is slow? either way, these are both potent engines and definately put the the ferd-150 to shame fortunately.

but dont worry if you want your truck to pull on hemis well that is what you'll get. the TITAN is the better of the two.........well not just the better of the two but better than any full size 1/2 ton truck out their today. so if you want pull pull is what you'll get with the TITAN

And that is you opinion ! I don't know what its better at, My neighbor bought a titan. Almost exact same set up as my Hemi and I put him in my rear view every time we line them up. And I know its not the looks. I wont even go there. I got $500 that says my diesel will take any Titan on this site. Ya I got a Cummings too

And how do you know it had more pull ? Did you bring your pull meter with you ? Come on You cant say I drove both and this one definitely has more pull. That could just be the way the truck is. Some feel different that others.

From personal experience:

Me and my friend each have Crew Cab Trucks

Ive got a Titan he has a Hemi 1500 Ram

-Titan has more top end; at 75-80 i walk past my friend pretty good
-Both are about even on the get go, titan may be a little faster than a stock Ram. he has magniflow exh.
-Hemi ram handles significantly better than my titan
-Titan and Hemi stop about equal
-Titan takes interior space like you wouldnt believe
-Hemi ram takes Bed Room by almost a foot it looks like.

I dont regret buying my Titan

I have read this thread in its entirety. I have given this whole topic considerable thought, but my circumspection has given way to a final conclusion. I conducted several tests and all of the data points to the only possible answer. I have the largest wang out of any of you.

if you would read my post 1# ton you would see i said that i drove them back to back, within less than 1 minute of each other, and could tell the considerable difference in power my TITAN had over the hemi. i know it had more pull because i FELT it, haha. its pretty easy to dictate which vehicle is faster when you drive them back to back. im not putting your truck down, im just saying the TITAN is faster, simple as that.

Im not putting the titan down but it only offers one engine and thats the 5.6, the big three offer so much more that they can probably out power and put more torque into there complete line up of engines in the following years that will make the titan a little behind.

Sorry Bad Bowtie, I strongly disagree.

First off, who cares about the smaller engines because they obviously can't compet. Second, the one engine Nissan offers is the equivalent of the other trucks top model and already is as good or better (in my opinion the best). Don't think for a second that ther is not PLENTY of power left in the 5.6. As the Big 3 and Toyota start upgrading (as they now have to BECAUSE of the TITAN), be sure Nissan will respond.

BTY, this is coming from a guy who's last truck was a 2000 Silverado with the 5.3, which I absolutely loved!

Ok here is my theory on this. My diesel is way faster than my Hemi. I know this for a fact . But when I drive them for some reason my Hemi fells like it's faster but it's not. Like I was saying you cannot tell which one is faster by driving them. They are way to close to tell.

The 5.3 is a very good engine. A couple quick mods and its all over for the Titan there is so much you can do with it. With two mods it will run away from any Titan on here. And one is a free mod just descreen the mass air flow and it will be neck and neck With a Titan.
