I have a 5.3 and a Titan. The 5.3 is a very good engine but it doesn't have the torque that the 5.6 has. No small mod will make that. In a comperable truck it will take more than a few little things to run away from a Titan. A regular cab 2WD 5.3 can be comperable to a Titan because of it's lighter weight. There are more mods available for the 5.3.

I've owned a lot of GM pickups and still own a few. I have had great luck with them and have no complaints. The Titan is the best and most powerful pickup overall that I have ever owned.

sorry mr 1#ton,you're wrong, the titan has 50# of torque over the chevy. it would take more than a simple mode to overcome that, and that's a fact jack.

No your wrong A descreened MAF And a CAI And put a Diablo chip on a 5.3 Reg cab Step side and you will have a low 13 second truck Depending on the driver. Well you'll be able to see it for yourself. When the Titans come back from The Houston GTG. How do I know I seen it for myself. I could beat my buddy's 5.3 with my Hemi But he spent 750.00 and now he kicks my ***.

In fact A CAI and a descreen of the MAF Is a huge gain on a 5.3 Almost a second gain in a 1/4 mile

I have run a CAI. I haven't run a descreened MAF. How do you know that the same mods won't help out the Titan? Those are good numbers for those mods. I haven't seen anyone do that around here.

My sales guy told me he bought a hemi before the Titan hit the lots, and he was dissapointed that he didn't wait (sales talk maybe) then while test driving the Titan along came a Hemi. Side by side with the Titan, Hemi revs, I rev back, light turns green, hemi gets smoked. I buy Titan. Do all the math and figuring you want. The Titan is a bad *** truck that can hold its own against the big dogs. Not bad for the first year. I'm exited to see what future Titans will do. Face it there's a new sheriff in town.

I don't know. Does the Titan have a MAF ??? If it does than your in luck. But the combination of a CAI and descreening The MAF a 5.3 is a reel good mod. For GM owners. Also the Step side is by far the lightest GM truck. It has a Fiberglass bed.

I'm sitting at a light one day In my big *** Dully. [6900 pound truck] And this young punk pulls up next to me in a Titan and looks over at me and says [HAY THAT THING GOT A HEMI] I replied with NO ITS A DIESEL. So anyways the light turns green and that was that. I put at least 8 lengths on him. HM MM GO FIGURE a Diesel.

OHHH I suppose you gonna tell me how your Titan is far soupier then a Cummings ???? Right And how it can pull more right ??? And how its faster. WELL lets see I paid 30,000 out the door for a 3500 dully The Cummings is good for at least 400,000 miles. I put 330,000 on my 96 3/4 ton with no major problems at all. And still got 8,000 on trade in. I can pull 20,000, and I can run high 12's in a 1/4 mile. Also I average 22 miles a gallon. Yep I need convincing
