Front Hood Deflector

I tried to put on my front hood deflector today. I did an inventory before I started. I realized that I did not have the center clip. I had an extra side clip though. Has anyone had this issue? Is the center clip really different?

I had the same problem, no center clip. Yes they are different, the center is shorter judging by the hole drilled in the bug guard. You cannot use the one in the kit.
Had another one ordered and it had the same parts. Dealer is notifying Nissan and I'm waiting for an answer.

I installed the hood protector this weekend. It took 15 minutes from start to finish. I was also missing the center clip, from the installation instructions the side clips and center clip looked exactly the same. All holes in the protector lined up with all clips. I think the instructions were miss printed. BG

I installed the deflector without the said "center clip" everything lined up just fine. No issues as far as I can tell after 2k miles.

Just installed the deflector. I did have a clip marked center, though I only had 4 of the 5 washers. Great QC Nissan

Does anyone know where I can buy some of the clear tape that comes with the deflector?

I just picked up my hood protector today and plan on installing it this weekend. It looks pretty straightforward and I'm glad to read that the shorter clip will work for the center.

Two questions...it sounds like this can be easily removed, is this true? I plan on giving her the zaino treatment in the future and will want to remove it.

Also, there is a small bite taken out of it in the center, it looks like this is by design but could someone confirm for me that this is normal? I just want to be sure that it isn't damaged.

Many thanks in advance.

The small bite is normal. Very easy to remove, just take off the 5 screws and you can wax underneath if needed.

all the clips were the same in mine as well. Just use them I don't think there is suppose to be a different one at least it doesn't look like it.

Cool Hood protector

Hey,
I installe dmine last week. The center clip and side clips are one in the same. The diagram shows differently, but I used and it is fine. Be careful what protective strips you use though, the larger strips (3) are for the sides and front, and the smaller individuals and pairs are for all the rest. Total time to install 30 minutes-easy!
Looks killer too.
