How to get the change tray

I spoke to customer support 1-800-Nissan1. I spoke to a nice woman on the phone, and gave her my vin. I then politely explained that I had heard that the change tray was now being shipped as a standard item, which I would have liked, but did not know it was an option at the time of purchase. She asked me to wait on hold while she researched the information. She then gave me a case # and told me to contact the dealer. They would either get it for me at no cost, or if they charged me I was to call her and provide bill of sale vin, and receipt for a refund.

Nice and easy to deal with!

BTW with the snow here I have been using 4wd and got 15 mpg. THIS IS GREAT ON GAS! My V6 never did this well

Where does the change tray go? Does it fit on the console of Titans with captains chairs and floor shifter or does it fit the other console with bench seats and column shifter? How did you know the change tray existed? When you get it installed can you shoot a couple of digital pics so everyone can see it? A lot of questions I know, but I am really interested.

Thanks,

Robert

This is for the Captian's chairs. I asked her if I should make sure others ask for her, she said that was not required. All customer support rep's should provide this offer. They may need to contact their supervisor as it is a new vehicle and not everyone knows about this situation.

2 Questions.

Did they give you a part number?

How did anyone know about the change holder?

There's pictures of my change holder on my webshots site. Just go to http://community.webshots.com/user/jetforeman and look around, it's one of the pictures there.

I just asked the dealer, and they wanted my color code just in case. They will get it and send it to me. So sorry, no part #.

2. A couple of weeks ago b4 the switch to the new format, there was a question about who had them and who did not. He had a hard time due to other issues at the time. So I waited a while then did the same. The word is spreading, so I cannot take all the credit for comming up with the idea.

That is kinda bunk. Though I'm sure it costs them to ship it so that the's rationalization.

What should you have waited for? Did you buy a Titan recently? My truck has a production date of October and it had a change holder in it. I think I would be trying to talk to a different person there at Nissan..

Does it list the Coin holder anywhere on your Maroney label or your sales info? I'm trying to figure this out.

Jet,

I just got off the phone with Nissan and they seemed really confused about the change tray. While I had the guy on the phone I emailed him your picture of the change tray for him to look at so we could discuss it. He saw your DVD player and said that maybe the change tray came with those that got the DVD package. He said that he would call back at the end of the week with an answer.

That's a weak case as far as I'm concerned. Where on earth does it list change holder, IF you get the DVD??? No where that I've seen. If Nissan keeps giving you the run around you might have to go take another Titan for a test ride with really big pockets in your jacket...

i bought my titan in december, no change tray and it was NOT listed on the the invoice sheet that came on the window from factory. why is nissan doing this?? i think a truck that costs 30 grand should come with a change holder and if not they should give us 1 and if not we should take it by force lol lol

The change tray was originaly going to be an accessory and a line option with one of the packages.

Your previous statement is exactly correct. And now Nissan is including them on the on all the Titans. I will let everyone know what the part number is when I get it.
