how to remove vht tail light tint

alright fellas i tinted my tail lights on my truck and absoulutly love the look how ever my bro attempted to do his and well pretty much messed it up on his truck he forgot to tape off and also sprayed to much so he has a bunch of runs on his tail lights. anyway what is a safe way to remove this off your tail lights to start all over again. it doesnt say on the can?

Why not some paint thinner? Isn't VHT essentially a paint type product?

i thought of using thinner but wouldnt that damage the plastic lens

you know when i did mine i got in a hurry on one of my tails, i just wet sanded with steel wool, and kept the water running and continued to sand until all the paint was gone, worked like a charm....finished product was the same texture as the other tail that i did not overspray when i finished

Paint thinner should do the trick but sometimes is a PITA. Try using Goof Off i've heard this removes it aswell

DO NOT use any chemicals or strippers...it will ruin the lens.

Just wet sand them...easy and quick.

when you wet sand no matter how fine of a grit it'll leave the finished product looking Dull.

only professional clearcoating will make it shine like the rest of the vehicle

Go to the local store and get wax...any car paste/liquid and get some microfiber towels and start rubbing away...going to take a long time but I did my gf's Jetta and it streaked like a mother down the back of her car...easy fix just takes a little elbow grease

Wonder if some Mirror Glaze would do it? It's mildly abrasive and should'nt scratch....just another idea....

use a brillow pad, warm soapy water, and goo gone. i messed mine up on the first attempt ant thats what i used to get it off.

Wont be as shiny as good PPG Clear but i recommend using Rustoleum Clear Coat
