unannounced changes in interior color.

Has anybody else noticed that the tit/graph interior colors have changed since December? When I ordered in Dec. it had really dark interior (almost black) with light gray sections on the door handles, window switches etc... Also the dash was a lot darker than it is now. The color now seems to be just blends of gray with not near the contrast that it originally had. I just recently noticed these things. I liked the orignal scheme better, it was darker and richer looking with nice contrasts. I am frustrated that Nissan would change something of this importance so fast. When you go to a dealer, test drive a truck, like the package presented, order one, wait three months and come to find out that it's not what you ordered! The whole interior is lighter than before. This will not prevent me from buying my truck when it arrives . BUT, It's extremely annoying not to get what you ordered. Not many companies change the color scheme of their interior within the first three months of the vehicles release. If you want to see for yourself go to the Nissan brochure and look at the red brawn truck with all doors open (middle of brochure). For all those who orderd this color in Dec. Just letting you know... Sorry for ranting but I AM VERY DISSAPOINTED!!!

I have seen that interior color in one or two advertisements. I do not think that they have changed the interior color for graphite/titanium, I belive that color intertior is for advertisement purposes only. Maybe it is being tested for future production, or perhaps it was on a pre-production prototype.

These are not prototypes. When I was shopping for my truck, I noticed all the dealers had the same color scheme in my area. They were all new trucks with window stickers. I personally test drove one this exact color scheme in Dec. I ordered one shortly thereafter. I have also noticed from looking at trucks on dealers lots that the sand /steel color has also changed a little. It used to have a different color scheme for the dash then the Tit/graph. Now it appears that both trucks have similar/same color scheme. I'm not sure when they made these changes, but when I orderd my truck the dealer said that's the way it would come, just as it looked.

I can understand your stress about possibly not getting the color scheme you expected to get when you ordered it. I'd say it's not a good idea for a company to change products halfway out the door without telling consumers or at least the dealers so they can tell the customers. It's hard to make an informed decision when you don't know if what you choose is what you get.

My best idea would be wait til it comes in and if you don't like the interior color scheme the way it comes then complain to the dealer. Tell them you don't want the truck now since they changed it, maybe this will get you a few more $$$ off the price.

Besides even if the Graphite/Titanium interior is a little darker or lighter than you expecteed it will still look pretty darn good, especially if you got it at a better price than you originally negotiated.

For future reference I had posted some pics of my Graphite/Titanium interior in another post and maybe you could use them as a tool to help prove your point to your dealer. Let me know if you need more pics and i'll be happy to snap some and send them to you. Just hit me up on email.

Deepwater, is the new scheme different than the pic I posted in the brake controller thread (not the post by derwud), although it may be difficult to tell based on that photo? Ours is dark, which is the reason why we wanted the titanium/graphite intererior...we wanted something that wouldn't show dirt as easily as the lighter colors. If so, I can understand why you would be disappointed.

It is hard for me te tell by your pic... Is your truck the same color scheme as the one that is pic. in the Nissan brochure, the Red Brawn with all doors open?.. the very dark doors with light grey door handles and switches, and the dark dash ect....

I belive the Reb Brawn Titan in the brochure your speaking of is an LE model, so it has the graphite/titanium leather which basically looks all gray.

Unless you have a differnet brochure than me. I have the folded one that came in a pouch type cover and has a smaller brochure stapled inside with the specs and such.

Karl i took a look at the photo from the "brake controller" thread and your interior is the same as mine. I was thinking maybe you had a different color since i don't really think the interior is that dark.

Most other members think our interiors have a blue tint to the center accent color of the seats and door panels, and i tend to agree. I love it though and think it looks better than any cloth interior i've seen in years, especially on a truck.

Well, mine does not have the light gray door handles but everything else looks the same to me (the map/water bottle pocket is the light gray). The dash in mine is very dark (looks black to me) with the center section (around the stereo and such) a dark graphite color.

I'll have to check out a new one to see if there is any difference.

Interior colors DEEPWATER

OK. I went out in the snow storm after work to look at the interior again. I didn't think the dealer had any trucks left but they had moved them on the lot. I looked into the first truck and I said yes indeed it is lighter and does look blue. Did not look bad but I remember the other ones I looked at and drove were darker. I went and got my sales manager Gabe. He has been very patient with me as I always tell him what I am finding out. Great guy to work with. We looked at the chart in the showroom and he came outside with me. He also said it looked blue. He then drove the truck up to the front and we took the sample off the rack and placed it in the truck. Keep in mind this is the same sample they had before they even had a truck one. I can say it really did look the same. It might have looked a little lighter to me but not really. I still remember the doors and dash being darker and DEEPWATER I am still like you I think it does look overall lighter in the truck. I was surprised to see that the material matched like it did. I also contacted a friend in Phoenix who works for a dealership and he said there had been a change but not sure why, when, how long it was in effect, etc. My sales manger said he would have been notified or should be notified if there was a change. Man I am confused. Deepwater it still looked very nice but I still hope I get the darker color as I know it did exist, I saw it. Yes a blonde but not crazy. Anyone else go look at the news ones to see if they saw a difference?

static101, there is definately a difference, without a doubt. i first test drove a TITAN SE CC back in december, and it was pretty much all black and gray on the inside, none of this blue stuff, all black and gray. fast forward 3 months later, i ask the dealer what happened to this color scheme and he smirks and says "not too sure" hhmm... i am dissapointed i am not getting that darker color that i saw months ago. back then i was still not sure what my new truck would be so i wasn't as well informed about the TITAN, now i am and like the rest of you i would really like to know what nissan did.

Static, There is no doubt they made changes. Don't be surprised if some dealers aren't aware. Those first trucks that hit the lot sold really fast and they may have not been paying attention to that. THERE IS NOT ONE TRUCK IN MY STATE THAT MATCHES THE ORIGINAL INTERIOR COLOR SCHEME! I find it hard to beleive that Nissan would think that people wouldn't notice the difference. I guess when you think about it, the only people that would know this are those that went to the dealers in Dec. and test drove/looked at or ordered the trucks. I have been in contact with 70boss on this issue and he is currently looking into it but states that his lack of inventory prevents him from knowing all the details. He will be getting back to me with information soon I hope. It is beyond dispute. I sat in this truck, took it for a drive and ordered it a few days later. The interior looked exactly like the one in the brochure and now they don't!
