So what's everyone's take on this one? Nissan is basically putting a different front end on the new Dodge Ram and calling it a Nissan. Apparently they are even going with the same hemi power plant. I wonder if its going to get the new light duty cummins as well...
I'm actually looking at buying a 09/10 Ram 1500 come September time. Test drove a fully loaded Ram 1500 and overall a good buy. Has power, style, luxury. The interior is one step down from fords F150 FX4, but above everyone else. Ride was smooth as a car and my 01 ram had two issues, 02 sensor, and 1st gear sensor in automatic tranny. Other than that, 70k worry free miles.
I love my titan, but I hate its long list of problems. If plans do go through, I'd buy the TitanRam depending on its looks, because sounds like everything will be nearly the same as a Ram
How old is your info man? Nissan and Dodge broke ties when the economy went in the tank. Dodge will be luckt to survive. But Fiat might be able to save them.

You can see Dodge go byebye if Fiat deal doesn't go through in 30 days.
I saw on CNN yesterday something about the Government gave it's approval for that deal. I could be wrong but I don't see how they could back out now after already having ran it through to get Congress' blessings.
I thought that part of this whole deal was to keep Chrysler alive. Nissan is going to be giving them a small compact car for the Asian markets, one of the main failing points of the Chrysler name, and in turn they were getting the ram platform... No...? I was actually thinking of trading my titan in on a new ram, I think that even if they go tits up they still have to support any product for 6 years as per the bankruptcy laws...? Who knows in this time of harsh economic times tho! On a side note, are things really that bad down there in the U.S of A? Here in the great white north, Alberta anyways, we seem to be weathering this storm o.k... for the mean time...
you know I read something not too long ago that said that if they gave the bail out money to the people, everyone over the age of 18 would get something like $150,000. Half of everything given out would go back to the government in taxes almost immediately and the rest of the money would, as far as I'm concerned, help the people get out of their problems and stimulate the economy like never before. Sound's like way too good an idea for a government of any denomination to employ though...
According to the news (and the internet), Fiat now owns a 35% stake in Chrysler. That's the same percentage Renault had (has?) in Nissan. I don't see the Ram/Titan thing happening since Chrysler bagged on having Nissan build its' small car. C'mon Nissan, add a real 2 door work truck for cheap. That may help. Keep the Titan!

It takes some awful bad math to arrive at that number, even with the bailouts passing a trillion dollars.
it just serves as fodder to keep people upset about it more than anything.
This equals approximately $37,330 for every adult in the United States. Sure a nice chunk of change I'd love to spend on makin my T a Turbo T
you know what? Barack knows what he's doing. He's going down a path that's too far to the left.
This country was founded on property rights and the liberty of men (what's called "natural rights" or "the state of nature") because the founders were Lockean. If you believe in the Constitution, you have to believe in some things. Some of them are: 1.) You're free. 2.) You get to keep what you work for. 3.) The government has to set aside money (taxes) so that they can protect what you own, your property.
The Lockean view is usually counterbalanced against other ideas from Karl Marx and John Stuart Mill. But Barack is going waaaay too far to the side of Marx.
To some people (myself included,) believe you can be hard right and still be right on the money because you would be a Lockean, like the founding fathers. You can get to the middle because there's an important balance to be struck between the individuals’ rights and the rights of the many (John Stuart Mill.)
But what you absolutely cannot do is go too far to the left, because that would be socialism, communism and Marxism. It wouldn't be American anymore. In our souls we wouldn't be American, nor would we see those benefits from being American. We might as well be like France or Great Britian.
My friends to the left is where we are going, and we are doing it at a rapid pace. It's barely even a warning now because there's no stopping us from going there. It seems like most Americans want that now.... oh yeah. To get back on the subject, I like the idea of a Ram/Titan. But just a trouble-free Titan with some new goodies is fine enough for me.
