Nasty little reflection of the radio face on the King cab's rear-view mirror
Hey all, I was driving my King Cab loaner last night and I noticed that the face of the radio reflects off the back window, right smack into the middle of the review mirror. I had the seat all the way back (I'm 6'1" with long legs) and it annoyed the crap out of me.
I didn't notice that reflection on the crew cab. Has anyone else noticed it?
By the way, I had a Hemi for breakfast this morning. Yum!

Well, I was bringing my "loaner" back in to the dealership, and passed by the Dodge dealer on the way. Up pulls a big ol' Hemi at the same light as I. Nice 4 lane road, nice red light...hmmm...
So, I did a little brake-stand VROOM VrOOM, because I was feeling even more obnoxious than usual. I had the Titan in 4WD, so I figured come launch time, I'd just slam it to the floor and let Mr. Endurance do the rest.
Light changes, and we're off. By 40 MPH I had him by a truck length. Didn't go much faster than that, cuz of the speed limit, but I had made my point. The Big Red Brawn Titan kicked some Hemi arse.
Of course I can't advocate going around and racing, and I DEFINITELY don't think people should reach high speeds on public streets. However, I just had to get some Hemi-eatin' out of my system.
I test drove a Hemi before I ordered my Titan. Nice truck, just not as nice as a Titan (IMHO). Also, the damn thing (hemi) wouldn't fit in my garage, unless I knocked a foot or so out of the back wall.
So, anyone else have the radio reflection problem?
I do not like a bright dash when driving so I tend to have mine turned down. Once the lights are on, I do not see the radio at all. Every now and again I see it but it is not all that bad.

You'll get some of the radio reflection in the CC as well. You will also get daytime reflections in the windshield from the arched parts of the dash. ( the instrument panel arch and the arch right where the navigation system goes) The reflections are worse if you are tall because the angle is different for tall people. The windshield and the back glass reflections will bother you at first but after you've had your truck for a while, they "go away".

I read an expert car review on msn autos a couple of weeks ago on the Titan, and one of the cons to the truck was the reflection of the radio face from the back window in the rear view mirror....so yes, it is something is known about, not just you
I have the KC also. I did notice the reflection when I first got it. When you turn on the headlights, it gets real dim......and the more you drive it, you just don't even notice it anymore.
Re: Nasty little reflection on the King cabs, glad I am getting the crew cab
I have the reflection in my rear-view mirror too...I just turned down the brightness down a click, so now it's not as bad...You would think they would have fixed this by now since it's been around since the Titan's first came out...
EDIT: Whoa, I didn't realize I just pulled this thread out from the grave! It was at the bottom (similar threads) of pi3yeargrad's post on King cab amp locations. Oops!
Re: Nasty little reflection on the King cabs, glad I am getting the crew cab
I noticed it at first. I thought there was a UFO flying behind me when I looked in my rear-view. Then I figured it out and forgot about it until you mentioned it again. Thanks a lot jerk! j/k

yeap, i noticed it too. but no sooner than one notices it, one forgets about it. i guess it is one of those things that slips by the final plans!
kind of like the Titanic leaving port w/out binoculars.
