There are several hotels just off I-55 in Canton that would be suitable for most. Canton has a few places that would be well suited for a rally, if Nissan doesn't want it directly on their front yard. There is multipurpose complex within a two or three miles of the Nissan plant and even closer to the hotels.

I lived in Jackson for four years and it is probably the best bet for a hotel. There are a number of decent hotels and restaurants on the north side of Jackson (I-55 exit 103 I think) and it's not a bad part of town. The places you want to avoid are south and west Jackson. There is a killer blues bar "on the other side of the tracks" in west Jackson. It opens at 11 PM on Fri and Sat nights and is in the bottom of an old hotel. I remember tipping a guy in the parking lot with a gun $5 to keep an eye on my car so it wouldn't get stolen. I don't think I will be taking my Titan there!
