I have a few questons about the service manual that you can download.
1) How long does it take to download the manual useing a cable modem?
2) Can you burn it to CD after you download it?
3) Is it the full version or is it a "abbreviated" version?
4) Do you like it? Is it worth the money?
5) What is the web address to download it?
There are about forty individual files, consisting of a few thousand pages with many sections containing over 500 pages. Manual is about 92MB, quite large for downloading over a 52k modem.
Excellent resource.

You do a one day online subscription for $20 and then you do a search for all publications for the Titan. That will give you the option to do an online view of the service manual. Then you have to view it with Acrobat, and individually save each section of the manual, as summarized in the Quick Reference Index. When you get done, you will have these files:
You simply CANNOT beat Nissan's $20 option... I downloaded the service manual for the Titan, which cannot just be DOWNLOADED, but you have to choose to view it online and in Acrobat Reader save a copy of each section to your local disk. I also, within the same day, downloaded the service manual for my girlfriend's 2002 Altima and my friend's 2003 Murano.
hey there, I am trying to do the same as above, but there is no file name for the pdf file. it will not let me save it. Is it because I am using the free reader?
I used the free version to save the files. I did have a problem with Acrobat 6--it would load the table of contents but not the individual chapters. I switched to Acrobat 5 and the problem went away.
I used version 6, loaded the table of contents and selected each chapter from there. After each was downloaded, I went back to the TOC and just selected the nex tone. The TOC is linked to all the chapters which makes it real easy to download the chapters.
Suggest anyone who buys one day online subscription save the 'Purchase Confirmation' webpage https url.
I saved it with that page info ~

Doesn't work for me right now with InternetExplorer - Adobe Acrobat Reader doesn't 'popup'.
I use/used Mozilla for my browser and I tried IE for the download also but Nissans fancy web system is so damn slow that any real large pdf's didn't complete loading. Maybe the S.E. system wasn't that bad just the Nissan site.
Didn't save all that info as it's no good after 24 hrs anyway.
I think I understand what your saying, now. Thank you, billaku.
I've burned CD's for years for forum friends...I guess most here will run to get in line when the government wants to install a microchip in all of us to simplify keeping us all under thumb. :eh:
