I have 4x4 OR,CC,BT 06 model. Every thing is factory stock. I was lubing 4x4 by driving in high and low at low or very low speed in a near by field.I do this once a month or so just to lube componenets in the 4x4 drive train.Today I took some sharp turns about as far as the wheel would turn both right and left. When turning to the extreme the truck jerks or jumps?? It acts like ABS is kicking in or slip or a brake locking up. Dosen't make a noise it just kinda hesitates jerks and lunges. Straight aways no problem.Turning right and left it dose the same. I have factory OR rims and BF factory tires. The tires don't rub on these trucks do they?? I don't know what it is or if it's normal. This is not my first 4x4 never had one that did this?? No lights come on slip or anything. When turning around in a tight area is how I discovered this. Can anybody Help with a suggestion or if this is normal it sure don't feel like it?? Thanks for any thoughts!!
Was it doing this while still in the field? If so, sounds like it is getting too much traction. If you were back out on pavement, sounds like the 4 wheel drive was still engaged. Check your dash and make sure it is OUT of 4X4.
I know my '05 doesn't always come out of 4X4 until I stop or back up.

Yes it was doing it in the field. The thing was jerking like it was grabbing on the ashpalt. But I've never had it in 4x4 on the road. But as you said it feels like it's getting too much traction?? Straight runs smoth as silk. A little incline and turn the wheels as sharp as it will go with out stressing the power steering and it jerks pretty hard. It makes you staighten the wheel quickly to stop the jerk.
So you would recomend not turning super sharp while in 4x4? My 99 hard body frontier never did this or my 76 full time 4x4 blazer??
To build on and agree with Thad...
I wouldn't say to NEVER turn all the way, just realize it is putting everything in a slight "bind". My personal opinion is if the truck couldn't handle it, they would have cut down on the turning radius.
Any time you're in 4 wheel you should notice more input in the steering. Even with power steering, you are typically turning "dead" wheels. In 4X4 those wheels are now pulling, and any change in traction will affect how it drives and how much input you have to put into the steering wheel. You can definately get the asphalt feeling in fields. Just means your tires weren't slipping, making the differential unhappy! (Im sure Loufish or someone else can get technical and explain it much better and probably a lot more acurate than I can!)
Edit: I'm not really familar, but it could be your Blazer, although full-time 4X4, still had an open diff and only delivered power when it sensed wheel spin (or maybe even locked the diff at that point). Some vehicles work that way and some don't. Most trucks actually lock the front diff when 4X4 is engaged, which is why it gets mad when the outermost wheel tries to travel at the same speed as the innermost wheel.
As Thad said, it sounds completely normal and unless you're really beating on it, I wouldn't be concerned.

Your Blazer and Hardbody had locking hubs. The Titan does not have any locking hubs, they are always locked and all axles are spinning all the time, even in 2WD. What you're experiencing is normal, I've done it too. You'll also find that the Titan has better OEM offroad traction than the Blazer or Hardbody had straight from the factory. Turning sharp while in 4x4 is usally best avoided if possible.
Thank You very much, That makes me feel alot better. And yes both of my old 4x4's had lock in hubs. I was hopeing it was normal because it didn't do it going straight! It reacts as all you folks descibe like it just dosen't like that sharp turn. Mild turns for me from now on don't want to hurt my diff's.
Let me set something straight you can turn as sharp as you want in 4x4 when you dont have good traction like in ice or mud. But if you do it on dry land on asphalt is going to to do that.

So hopefully I did no damage?? It was at very low speed but I did repeat it a couple times to make sure it wasn't just in my mind? It never made a noise nor dose it now after doing something I shouldn't have. I knew enough to stop doing it and get on here to ask you guys with all the knowledge. Is there anything I need to look at or for to make sure I didn't damage anything? Thanks again for great advice and input!!

Mostly likely you didnt damage anything. As long as everything is normal going straight your probably good. I wouldnt worry about it some people do that all the time without problems and some have stuff break the first time they do it. As long as you didnt hear a loud pop and you dont have and diff fluid or a broken cv boot you should be fine.
