Volume Control Dial

I have a 08 KC 4X4 SE, the other day I was driving down I 75 with my windows down, I hit the rumble strips on the side on the road and my volume control dial flew off then flew out the window. I called nissan to check on a new dial, they said I would need to purchase a entire new dask kit because you cant just purchase the dial. Does anyone know of a place I can buy just the dial?? I have checked all over the internet and cant find anything.. Please help!!!

Re: Volume Control Dial

gravity works in weird ways where you live my friend. I would think it would just vibrate off into the floor instead of taking a 90 degree turn and scooting out the window about 3 feet away.

Re: Volume Control Dial

So wait, it's an '08. If the radio dials are flying off, there's a problem. I say take it to the dealer and let Nissan pay to have it fixed. I'd bet you can get it covered under the 3/36 basic warranty.

Re: Volume Control Dial

I read this, and when I went out to my truck I pulled on the nob and slipped right off. I was suprised how easy it came off.

And then the internal inertia kicked in and it bounced around the inside of your truck like Flubber, right?

Next time put your windows down... It'll fly right out then...
